The show races through each episode with a driving pace that only intensifies the ferocity. But for all the show's physical brutality, the most affecting violence is emotional, from the strange and savage love affair between Beecher and Keller to the escalating war of terror between Beecher and Schillinger. On a lighter note, this season marks the debut of both Miss Sally and new prison CO Sean Murphy (Robert Clohessy), whose understated strength is too often overlooked in the face of the show's more explosive personalities. Season 3 ends pitched on a powder keg, with the fuse in the hands of the show's most ferocious, unpredictable character. It's the kind of promise that will have you slavering for season 4.

Just a high-adrenaline, violent, sexy drama about ignorant-as-f*ck humanz acting like the cunning, amoral animals that they are. Awesome show, worth following. Has never let me down.
I have mixed feelings about the wheelchair-bound narrator. Sometimes he has good, relevant comments. Other times, they feed him boobie lines. And the show where he's wearing the Pharoah's get-up? Please.
Weaker than before
Don't get me wrong, I really like this series, loved the first 2 seasons and liked 3rd season. However in this 3rd season there were some plot lines that were just too hard to admit as reasonably possible. For example Beecher so easily killing an officer and walking so easily away from it, it was never mentioned afterwards; and what about Glynn and McMannus just letting Schillinger's song in Beecher's hand, How can these 2 guys , responsible for running such a dangerous prison as Oz, be so naive and allow Beecher and other Schillinger's sworn enemies withing 100 miles of this boy?,

haven't seen the dvd's but I know the series is amazing, jaw-dropping (sometimes literally) thought-provoking and heart-wrenching. Also- the first kiss between Beecher and Keller may be the sexiest moment ever caught on film.
My main purpose of the review is to have people compare prices. Each individual dvd for seasons 1-3 is being sold by Amazon at $48.74 each. The 3 pack is being sold at $175 and change. Buying each one individually seems to be the better bargain.
