    Entertaining And Fun!

This was about 4 hours of entertainment for around $15! I can't see why people complain or say that it's expensive. The episodes were well done and had some of the best action I've seen for a TV production. Really great jumping and kicking. Good special effects too. I would recommend this for someone that wants something fun to watch late at night or on the weekend.

    Can You Say "X-Men"?

When I first saw this show I was VERY dissapointed. This is X-Men all over again. Don't get me wrong I love X-men but this is a complete rip off. It would be cool to have a show about mutants but a group of mutants trying to stop evil mutants with a do gooder that has telekinetic powers and a mutant tracking machine thing? Sorry bud but that's been taken OVER 13 YEARS AGO EINSTIEN!!! So basicly Marvel should get their butts out of their big fat gobs of money and get ready to write a law suit!

    MUTANT X

So far, I've bought MUTANT X SEASON ONE DVD's 1 thru 5. I think this show is very high tech and stylized. I like how it is filmed in wide screen. The characters are kool and enjoy the stories very much. Shalamar is the best character on the show with primal mutant abilities. This show is sometimes hard to find on a channel in my area. I missed most of season 1 & 2 but luckily, my satelite provides mutant x on a cable network. These dvd's are top quality yet are a bit expensive and haven't been too impressed with special features...one disc had BLOOPERS--it was a mix match clip collection that lasted a whole whopping 1 minute 32 seconds... I love this show, but hope for the next release of seasons, it's packaged with better features and a better price range...The only reason i'm buying these is becuase i missed seeing the show when it first came on--but c'mon they could at least put 3 episodes a disc if selling individually..I mean, buffy seasons you can get around 40 bucks and it's 22 episodes your getting..here, you get 4 episodes for like 40 bucks? talk about inflation..lol...BTW, Mutant X has been signed for a 4th season! paying a hefty price for season 1 i can live with, but really hope seasons 2 thru 4 will be better on the wallet...otherwise, i just may skip out buying them...

    Mutant X - Season 2 - Discs 1/2 DVD

Season 2 of this show had large changes away from the all too noticeable X-Men look in season one. It pretty much became Adam and his team of young mutants helping different people fight crime and gangsters every week, It was not much of a premise to go on, and the rateings continued to slide every week, by the end of season two, the final show saw two characters die off screen (Adam and Emma) while the other three hit the road for parts unknown. By this time, Marvel and it;'s TV partners had a falling out and went to court, thuis making season three the last for this series, and that was just as well, because it was never anything special to start with. Mutant X - Season 1 Disc 2 DVD

I love this series, period! But what makes it unique from other shows is its change of personality from season to season without losing its greatness. Season One was mostly the team battling evil scientist Eckhart. The action scenes were Hong Kong style martial arts. They corrected that in Season Two by using their mutant powers instead of fists, which is why Sci-Fi/Fantasy fans watch these shows in the first place. And they branched out storywise by facing a variety of villains not linked to Eckhart. In Season Three, their scientist/leader Adam is gone and the group is on its own.

But back to this disk. As a huge Victoria Pratt fan, I had to have this one first because "Fool For Love" is on it. Pratt covers just about every aspect of acting in this episode. To boot, she and... More Info about this DVD

    Mutant X - Season 1, Disc 1 DVD

Mutant X takes the useful SF trope of the mutant minority persecuted by the state and adds potentially interesting spins. The charismatic villain Mason Eckhart of the Genetic Security Agency (Tom McCamus) professes an ideology of service and sacrifice for which many mutants fall, unaware of his genocidal and exploitative real intentions--though his habit of dumping failed minions into glass tubes for subsequent vivisection might give them a clue. A quest for redemption underlies the apparent smugness of Adam (Michael Shea), the good guys' mentor, who used to work for the GSA's front, research company Genomex. The pretty central quartet themselves--fierce acrobatic Shalimar, reliable density-shifter Jesse, laddish electro-boy Brennan, and sensible mind-twister Emma--alternately... More Info about this DVD

    Mutant X - Season 2 - Discs 3-4 DVD

As with all shows the second season of this show really kicked it into high gear. We see more into the personal working of these characters, Brennnan,Shalimar,Jessie, Emma, and Adam.
This season was considerly better than the 1st and the awful 3rd that followed. Agh if only twentyth Century Fox would just shutup saying this show bars there chance for a X-men show when is the last time they even did a telivision show? This is what promted alot of changes that resulted in a horrid 3rd year for this show. Peaple are very hard on this show. But come on peaple it is telivision do you really believe everything you see? Exactly so why does it all haft to make cents. Just watch and get lost in the magic that is Victoria Pratt. More Info about this DVD
