    Review(s): DVD Fat Free Yoga
    These DVDs are Wonderful!!!

I love Kundalini Yoga and I absolutely love this new series of Kundalini DVDs and Videos by Ravi Singh and Ana Brett called Fat Free Yoga. I have been practicing this form of Yoga for years and have always found Ravi Singh an excellent teacher and dedicated Yoga master. I own many of Ravi's earlier instructional videos and have always found them the perfect way to enhance and sharpen my Kundalini study. Ravi's teaming up with Ana Brett has brought these DVDs and Videos to an even higher level. Her form is amazing and precise. She is strong without looking like she lifts weights. My girlfriend and I practice along to one of the DVDs every morning when we get up. We usually rotate our workouts going through each of the 3 DVDs (1 a day) and then starting them over again. After we finish we are always charged and ready to face the day. We have both taken off weight due to our daily practice along to Ravi and Ana's instruction. Both my girlfriend and I have more energy and are sleeping better also.

For those new to this form of Yoga, Kundalini is different from other forms. It is an all body workout and therapeutic practice helping your organs as well as your muscles, skeletal structure and mental well being. It will actually help to remove toxins from your body, from organs like your liver and kidneys. Following the instruction on these DVDs and Videos give my girlfriend and I a total body workout.

I recommend the complete Fat Free Yoga series by Ravi Singh and Anna Brett without hesitation.

    Yoga with a kick

I got 3 kundalini dvds for christmas: Fat Free, Total Tune Up, and Yoga Cleanse. This is my introduction to kundalini yoga. Its really different from the yogas I have done. You are moving, flexing, and rotating, breathing all the while. I like to alternate my workouts so I can do another one everyday.
The first thing I noticed was that even if I started my day tired or with a headache I would end it elated and pain free and with a good sense of self. I think the secret is in the breathing not only for your body but for your psyche. I have always been a creative person but I was never able to just let myself be an artist. It may be a coincidence, but since I have been doing these tapes I have been making art like I never could before and have the confidence to call myself an artist.
The instructors in these tapes are quite good. Ravi Singh is like a fountain of wisdom and Ana Brett is like a nymph or a sprite. I get a kick out of watching her do yoga.
All the dvds can be broken into segments which I like.
I recommend these tapes very highly.

Kundalini is a Part of My Life-- Thanks to Ravi & Ana!

This is an amazing DVD, which I highly recommend!

As a former student of Ravi Singh and Ana Brett, I have nothing but the highest of praise, and the sincerest respect for both. I was lucky to have them as teachers. In addition to doing my part of the work, it was through their teaching, guidance & expertise, that helped in bringing forth my inner strengths, qualities & gracefullness! Thank you, thank you!!

Kundalini is the mother of all yogas and the most aerobic of all the forms, and should be practiced with reverence. Yes, it is different from the other yoga forms, as it encompasses meditation, chanting and various breathing techniques, which actually help get you through the different sets. There are those who think Kundalini is weird because of the chanting and the meditation involved, and that's ok, no one is forcing anyone to do what they chose not to do. One would think to look into what Kundalini Yoga entails before purchasing a tape or trying out a class. Unfortunately here in the West, there are those who are afraid of the unfamiliar, especially that which they have never been exposed to, and in turn, try to condemn it because it's not what they expected. Anyway, as with most things here, anything good or positive that helps people take control of their lives, thus making them feel better is usually shot down immediately. Yes, Kundalini Yoga is hard work, but the overall results have been tremendous for me, as well as for other practioners. I have purchased all of Ravi and Ana's dvds, including some of the vhs tapes, and recommend them all. You will get a work out! I do believe Ravi and Ana are in the midst of getting all his older vhs tapes on to dvd, which is why Ana appears on this cover and not the model who is actually doing the work. She is the model in his other dvds. Regardless, I plan to purchase all the dvds when they become available. As the saying goes, "Don't knock it until you've "really" tried it!"

I recently got hold of this one and I am so glad that I did. I had put off buying it because of reviews which spoke of Ana's near naked body. All I can say is that it must be all sour grapes. While you can see a hint of Anas nipples. I don't think I would have even noticed if they had not had so much press!
Ana is beautiful and I think she can expect a lot of arrows slung her way. It is unfortunate. This DVD is a classic. The workout is first rate. The demonstration(by Ana)is first rate. The voiceover by Ravi is also first rate.
I like Ana's almost goth/ almost japonese makeup. The way her hair flops about as she performs with perfect precision. The lighting. The blue and pink set.You also see Ravi make a rare appearance at the beginning and end of the workout.

Fat Free Yoga - Yoga Cleanse DVD

I have recently stumbled upon Kundalini Yoga. I am loving it more and more every day. I still do my Hatha and Astanga, but for getting my engery going and feeling that I am doing wonders for cleansing my body, you can not beat Kundalini Yoga. Ravi has a wonderful soothing voice, not irritating nor condesending. He explains exactly what the excersizes purpose is and Ana executes it for you to see how it should be done. No downward dogs here, nor the usual poses you would expect. This is yoga in the traditional sense of doing a set (Kriya) and then doing corpse pose and then doing another set. This is meant to expand your mind and cleanse your organs and create flexability in your back and spine. I have now purchased 2 other DVDs from Ravi and Ana and I am really, really, really... Mantra Girl Presents - An Introduction to Kundalini Yoga and Chanting DVD

I just did this DVD this morning. I have the advanced DVD and I love this much better, but in a different way. I agree with some of the reviewers that it is not a complete beginners kriya. But what determines what is beginning and intermediate in kundalini yoga is how long the pose is done, anywhere from 1-7 minutes. I estimate that most of the poses are done for 3 minutes. Since most of the poses are done with the arms, this makes it seem like an intermediate set.

The set is to cleanse the aura. The 2 meditations at the end are wonderful. The 1st one is the "morning call" ek ong kar sat nam siri wahe guru. The second one is "har" or another name for God. Get this DVD, if you like kundalini yoga, you will like this. She doesn't talk too much, the music is nice.... More Info about this DVD

Mantra Girl Presents - Advanced Kundalini Yoga for the Spiritual Warrior DVD

Having practiced ashtange yoga for some time, I thought I was strong and fit. Doing this practice made me realise that I was overestimating myself, but in a very good way. I had heard a lot about the kundalini style of yoga before, but hadn't tried it, and I was shocked at how aerobically demanding this is. If you are more of a fitness fiend than a yogi, then it might help to know that this practice works a little like interval training, with short sections of very very very strong activity followed by less frantic, more gentle stretches and then back to the frantic activity again. I now do this session twice a week and I am sure that I am 'fitter' for it, but I wouldn't give up my ashtanga or hatha practice.

I ony give this four stars rather than five simply because I feel it would be... More Info about this DVD

    Power Yoga for Happiness DVD

I'm not a touchy-feely person, but I find the positive, surfer-esque, "do-what-feels-good" energy of this DVD very inspiring, and do the 50-minute workout on a regular basis. It's challenging, but not impossible, with a nice variety of postures. Eoin is a gentle, charismatic (not to mention great-looking!) teacher.

I like to vary my practice depending on how I feel on any given day -- energy level, soreness, time, etc. -- so I like the range of practice lengths and appreciate the fact that people of differing yoga abilities are shown to illustrate variations on the postures.

The group-hugging during the final credits is a little too cult-ish and weird for my taste, but, hey, it's a small price to pay; by that time I'm feeling so chill and limber and strong that... More Info about this DVD
