I never took the Andromeda series very seriously, even though I'm an avid Trek fan. Watching one every now and then but not being very entertained. Getting over the captain is not easy for most people and it's what turned me off to the show as well. It was this disk that made me take a second look at the series as a whole.
"Tunnel At The End Of The Light" is a slight rip-off of Predator, but hardly a bad one. And by the end, it's taken in a very original direction. If you can get over Sorbo and be entertained by a decent "space-show", Andromeda may be for you. Harper gives excellent comic relief and Rommie is just friggin sexy. The stories are not bad once you give them a chance, and for the most part, original. Graphics are fantastic, even if they are re-used and altered from time to... I think it is amazing the amazon can't seem to get this right. Is it collections? Is it 2.1, 2.2, etc? I took a tip from other reviews and went to bestbuy and got what I want. It was more expensive, but my time is a premium to me. All I wanted was order. Good luck finding it here. More Info about this DVD Director(s): Allan Kroeker - J. Miles Dale - George Mendeluk - T.J. The biggest change for Stargate SG-1's sixth season was its move to the Sci-Fi Channel. Financial rescue or genre haven from cancellation? It now seems clear that season 5 of Stargate SG-1 will be remembered as the one in which something went awry with Daniel Jackson. Lots of behind-the-scenes rumors fueled the idea of cast tension, but whatever the problem, his sudden departure from the show was obviously through a quickly contrived scenario. In retrospect, there must have been a problem for some while before the weird penultimate episode ("Meridian"). Michael Shanks looks frequently bored in his rare moments of individual screen time as he infiltrates a Goa'uld meeting and even when making friends with a creature everyone else wants dead. In fact, there's only one point when everyone really seems to be having fun, and that's in the spoof 100th episode "Wormhole X-treme!"
