Review(s): DVD Lizzie McGuire - Star Struck (TV Series, Vol. 3)
Exellent show for teens, good messages, and morals
this show is as close to reality as possible in Jr. High. Hilary is a great role model for young girls, and msot girls went thru or are going thru what Lizzie does in these shows. And of course girls will love this, but so will boys becaue Duff is SO CUTE and Lalaine is SMOKIN' HOT, I mean she sizzles in the screen, magandang Pinay!!! So buy thsi dvd it is great and full of life's lessons and great family values.
Lizzie McGuire sends a bad message to young people...
This show is just plain-out pathetic! Not only does it teach girls to be stuck up little b**ches, but it also sends a bad message to every young individual overall. The show mostly tells us that you should try and be better than everyone else and act snobby and stupid. (When really you should be ORIGINAL and be YOU! Not some other little punk!) And now, after many of those viewers (who are probably around 8-12 years old) watch this dribble, it will only send them the wrong idea and our next generation will be a COMPLETE major pain in the arse! Believe me, I'm 18 years old and can easily tell from this stuff. I'm SO glad they stopped the show a long time ago before it warped more young minds. Sorry, Hilary.
Wack, except for Haylie's cameo
This DVD is kinda wack because the episodes are lame and pathetic, I guess the Erik Estrada one is funny in a way, but still wack. I should give it 0 stars, but I give it one star because of Haylie Duff's cameo in "Xtreme Xmas" she has like a couple lines in it. Haylie rules!

I'm 21 and I still love this show. I think it is a lot more intellegent than a lot of other shows geared towards teens these days. The reviewer who made the comment about the blonde girl always getting the cute guy, obviously they haven't even watched the series. Lizzie's central theme is about friendship and family, NOT about getting the guy. In fact, Lizzie never "gets the guy", so to speak. And the main male character in the show isn't the "cute" one. He's the nerdy, smart one. Lizzie is also not the popular girl, her and her friends get a lot of grief from the popular crowd, and this show has much better character development and depth to it than any other Disney "teen" series I have seen. Lizzie McGuire, played by Teen Choice award-winning Hilary Duff, is a winsome eighth grader with a unique sense of style and burning desire to be popular--a condition that resonates with pre-teens everywhere. This quartet of episodes from the television series (which inspired the feature film) finds Lizzie climbing to a new pinnacle of popularity. When Lizzie signs a modeling contract with Teen Attitude Magazine, she gains instant popularity at the expense of true friendship. In the second episode, desperation over an upcoming vote for "best dressed" tempts Lizzie to lie and outspend her budget in the quest for notoriety. Meanwhile, Lizzie's brother Matt becomes a prisoner of his own instant fame. Lizzie takes being a role model a bit too far in the third episode and almost... This DVD is a really good one, but I enjoyed The Girl Can Rock a bit better. Still, this DVD is a must have for ANY Hilary Duff fan. It's awesome!
There's so much to see in this DVD. It's about an hour long. There are three music videos, So Yesterday, Why Not, and I Can't Wait. Behind the scenes includes making of the So Yesterday video, making of the Why Not video, making of Metamorphosis the album, and making of Sessions@AOL. For the performances, there's Sessions@AOL which has performances of So Yesterday and Little Voice. Hilary also tells about the meanings of those songs. Performances also has the making of Sessions@AOL which is also included in behind the scenes. There are a few cool bonus features too. There's Hilary Duff's biography which is a few pages long, in the studio... More Info about this DVD Actor(s): Hilary Duff DVD Release Date: Released the 04 November 2003 Usually ships in 24 hours

Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt corral a wild herd of rampaging children in Cheaper by the Dozen, an enjoyable family flick. When Kate Baker (Hunt, Jerry Maguire) gets a book deal for her chronicle of their abundant family life, she also gets drawn into a book tour--leaving Tom (Martin, Bringing Down the House, The Jerk) to run the house and cope with his new, high-pressure job as a football coach. Naturally, chaos erupts, bringing the family to the brink of meltdown. Cheaper by the Dozen is not a great movie or an important movie or even a surprising movie, but it is a warm-hearted crowd-pleaser. The Bakers' family life is a bit idealized and antiseptic, but anyone looking for an escape from their own less-ideal family lives won't mind. Also... Tucked into the middle of Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen is a charming sequence in which two girls from New Jersey (Linsay Lohan and Alison Pill) try to go to a rock concert in New York and have their illusions broken, then restored, and then broken, just a bit, again. Lola (Lohan) yearns for glory by playing the lead in the high school play and getting to meet the lead singer of a band called Sidarthur. Despite the spiteful efforts of a popular girl, Lola gets everything she wants without much of a struggle. Most of the movie takes place in a glitzy but flavorless high-school world with glossy teenagers dressed like a less discriminating Christina Aguilera. Pill (Pieces of April) shines in the thankless role of the geeky best friend. Also featuring Glenne Headley...
