DVD Booty Call - The Bootiest Edition
Okay, so Booty Call is trashy and often sophomoric. It is still funny. Tommy Davidson and Tamala Jones have been dating for almost two months and are pushed into that big romantic night by best friends Jamie Foxx and Vivica A. Fox (as the hysterically named "Lysterine"). The friends, of course, engage in a verbal war based on instant loathing and mutual attraction. The humor is low-brow and sometimes stereotypical, but this is worth watching just for the scene in which the two guys, concerned about "safe sex," cover themselves in plastic wrap. It pushes the envelope, which is fun, but the clearly homophobic tendencies cause it to lose ground. Still, there is chemistry between the players and plenty of laugh-out-loud scenes. --Rochelle O'Gorman
This movie is certainly not Hollywood at its finest, but it's still a very funny movie with a ton of great, witty dialogue. Jamie Foxx delivers some of the funniest movie quotes of the '90's, and he plays his role to perfection. The scene at the chinese restaurant is one of my favorite comedy moments of the decade. And that's all I have to say about that.

This movie is SOOOOOO funny! You absolutely must see this film. Jamie Foxx and Tommy Davidson (alumni from "In Living Color") have a series of hilarious mishaps on the way to scoring with their girlfriends. Don't miss it!

If your looking for a thoroughly entertaining comedy...look no further. Jamie Foxx...the man!!!!!!!! This movie made me laugh so much....it induced a asthma attack. Funniest part in the movie - Jamie's accident with the glad wrap.......hilarious!!!
This movie has got to be the least funny movie ever! Hey even Master P's "I GOT THE HOOK-UP" was 10 times as funny.
The thing is there exist no plot, they have pretty much stolen the story from Martin Lawrence's "A THIN LINE BETWEEN LOVE & HATE" but then taken out the part that the female is a psycho so Nothing happens!
The only good part is the women but u can see that elsewhere u don't need to buy this to see that!

"A Thin Line Between Love and Hate" stars Martin Lawrence, Lynn Whitfield, Regina King, Bobby Brown and Della Reese. This is easily one of my favorite movies; I often watch it when I'm feeling depressed because it eases my mood and reminds me that even though we may face hard times, someone is always going through something worse than you.
The movie is a about a player (womanizer) named Darnell who is confident that he can get any woman he wants. He was able to get women easily, because he was charming and co-owner of a hot club in town, so he was looking for a challenge. He found that challenge in Brandy Webb. Eddie Murphy makes a graceless debut as a romantic lead in this comedy from Reginald Hudlin. Murphy stars as a ladies man for whom the tables turn when he suddenly finds himself taken for granted by a lover (Robin Givens). Meanwhile, the platonic friend (Halle Berry) whom Murphy regularly visits is obviously--to the viewer, anyway--the woman he's supposed to be with. The absurdly long film is filled out with some fairly crude humor, such as the sight of Geoffrey Holder taking a whiff of Grace Jones's underwear. Yet Hudlin and Murphy also strain for a veneer of elegance and sophistication. Wanting to play it both ways, they end up with nothing.
