Great movies, rubbish set
I love Abbott and Costello, but these "Best of's" released by Universal are so pathetic it isn't even funny. They are flipper discs, and they are so easily damaged and cheaply made that they aren't good for anybody. I loved the movies in these sets, but come on Universal, stop using these cheap discs and use single sided discs.
Gotta love the classics
I never did grow up during the black & white era, but I have seen and love the great comedies like the Three Stooges and Abbott and Costello. This set is AMAZING and hilarious! It was so cheap and worth every penny. Even just the "Who's on First" rountine is worth the price. Every move is simply hilarious and the reactions of Lou or priceless. The first time I watched these films, I laughed so hard I thought I would bust a gut. A lot of people like today's movies and comedies, but they are not as funny as the great duo of Abbott & Costello!
Kickin back with that hilarious funny duo
Abbott & Costello...once again in a collection of funny mishaps. I just can't get enough of them. And in my opinion,The mvoies were the best way back when. You won't go wrong ordering this colletion from Amazon.com

I've become addicted to Abbott and Costello films since discovering this DVD set and the ones that followed. There was a day when comedy was creative, silly, and clean, and that time is captured on these DVDs. Anyone who wants a good laugh should check them out, especially the movies "Hold that Ghost" and "In The Navy." More Info about this DVD Director(s): Arthur Lubin - A. Edward Sutherland - Erle C. It's indeed great to have the last few films on this final collection (Jekyll and Hyde in particular), but why is this volume with less discs and less movies MORE expensive than the other volumes? And even worse, neither the packaging nor the discs themselves give ANY indication as to which movies are on which sides of each disc. You have to pop them into your dvd player and wait for the menu to come up to find out. Blatant mistreatment of these precious films...

When it comes to long-awaited treats like The Marx Brothers Collection, you can never get too much of a good thing. These seven comedies can't compare to the sheer lunacy of the five classics (The Cocoanuts, Animal Crackers, Monkey Business, Horse Feathers, and Duck Soup) that the Marx Bros. made for Paramount between 1929 and 1933 (available in The Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection), but when uber-producer Irving Thalberg signed Groucho, Harpo, and Chico to an MGM contract in 1935 (by which time sibling costar Zeppo had become the team's off-screen manager), he knew just how to cure their box-office blues. As a result, A Night at the Opera and A Day at the Races were critical and commercial hits, lavishly produced... More Info about this DVD Director(s): William A. Percy Kilbride, Marjorie Main and their 13 amazing children continue to bring joy and entertainment in these remaining four classic movies. Marjorie Main shows the range of her talent and her beauty while Percy Kilbride keeps you wondering what he will be up to next. These movies also showcase a number of "stars" such as the talented and comedic "Hilo Hatty." I recommend this DVD for those who enjoy a trip down memory lane ...
