Wow- I love coming home from work and putting in this DVD. It helps me wind down and get rid of all of the stress of the day. The images are so beautiful and clear, it reminds me the vacation I took in the Bahamas. What a wonderful way to enjoy an evening at home!
The Best Bahama Beaches
Another great wave virtual vacation dvd this one features the bahamas.This dvd looks similar to Caribbean Beaches with lapping waves but the islands look a little different.My favorite scene is the thunderstorm which is on Day 2 Shot 4 and 5.If you look carefully on shot 4 you will see a flash of lightning over the ocean overlooking the dark thundercloud.This is sheet lightning(cloud to cloud)you then hear several claps of thunder over the ocean shot 5.Interestly the waves don't seem to get bigger as the storm moves in they continue lapping.Another one of my favorite scenes is the lighthouse on Day 5 shot 3 and 4 with ocean views in the forground and I love many of the ocean views on this dvd as well.The waves are mostely lapping but occasionally they are so calm you get quiter wavelets.The picture is crisp similar to the caribbean beaches dvd it really brings out the blues and greens of the waves and the transistions from day to day are very quick.Also each day ends with a beautiful sunset.Make sure you turn on the beach subtitles to see were you are on Abaco,Eleuthera and New Providence.Just go to the beach subtitles in the menu or cut on subtitles on your remote.Now you can see the Bahamas when you want too.The Virgin Islands one is now available too.I highly recommend the Bahamas Beaches.
The Best Bahama Beaches
Here is another great waves virtual vacation series of the Bahamas.This one will even include a thunderstorm on the beach a first for this series.It will also include 2 lighthouses and lapping waves.I will write a more thural review when I get it.Look for the best virgin island beaches in April which will have diving pelicans and Caribbean Daydreams in May.Hopefully Florida Beaches will be out by July.

I just received the "Waves: The Best Caribbean Beaches" DVD in the mail today. I am extremely pleased with the visuals. The beaches and waves are very relaxing and soothing. I sat down and watched the whole thing on my widescreen TV as soon as I took the disc out of the media mailer. The visuals were spectacular! I only wish there was a function that splashed my feet whenever the waves lapped past the bottom of my TV screen!
Thank you Greg Voevodsky for producing such a wonderful DVD. I am really looking forward to the future HD Waves productions. I can only imagine how spectacular those will be. Keep up the great work!!!
I found this dvd as well as Bahamas Beaches a wonderful way to rest and relax. They made me feel like I was sitting on the waters edge. My husband who is an alzheimer patient found it very soothing and calming. It has become a special time in the day for him to just relax. I urge anyone to purchase these two DVD's - sit back and relax - and put yourself right there. If you can't get to these two places - this is the next best thing. This is a great DVD, beautiful scenes in hi-res but the sound disappointed me. The editors could have done a better job and avoided repetitive sounds like the same bird chirps over and over again. Besides that, the video only lasts 40 minutes.

This is a quiter ocean dvd than Californian Dreams but is still relaxing.This dvd features many of the sites on Californian dreams but the waves are more gental and lapping.There is one night sean with waves lapping under the moonlights reflection which I enjoyed.Also on Day 5 you see several light houses.On one view you see a lighthouse in the distance over looking the ocean,but if you look closely enough you can see a intermentent light beam as it turns.It's a little white bright light that goes on and off but it's hard to see.Also it's possible there might be a foghorn on day 5 or 6.I thought I heard one but it was very distant and hard to here if I did.If that's what it was it wasn't as loud as the one in Californian Dreams.Also on Californian zen is a nice group of gulls scattered... I bought this video as it was highly recommended by a good friend of mine. My friend was right! "Soothing Waters - California and Oregon" contains scenes from many of the most beautiful places along the coast of these two states. Natural sounds of the pounding surf, birds and other animals, and even the wind, which a couple of other reviewers found disturbing, I enjoyed immensely as it gave me a feeling of actually being in these incredible places. All of the locations are captured beautifully on the video, but my personal favorites are the many long scenes of Point Lobos, as it holds many fond memories for me.
As I watch with my headset on to better hear the sounds, I am mesmerized and then completely relaxed, to the point of what I call "drifting," and a profound sense of peace...
