I found that I didn't really get a good workout because I was too busy trying to follow the moves. The lead dancer was the stiffest of the bunch and very fake in her enthusiasm.
So much fun!
I'm not very good at dancing, but this video makes dancing and exercising SO MUCH FUN! I would highly recommend this video for anyone looking to exercise and have fun at the same time. I laugh at myself every time I try to follow their moves! It's supposed to be basic, but I think they go just a bit too fast for me. If they would break down the steps a little more I think I would catch on quicker.
Not Cardio but Coreography
This is a fun DVD for someone who has no background or a beginner in the different dancing styles. 1st time of use made me sweat a little, but I won't consider using it for everyday cardio workouts.
Best thing about this dance is you get to use your hip a lot. That really is healthy for the hip flexor muscles and I definitely would recommend you try doing those hip moves for 5 minutes on most days.
I was wary of this one at first, because I'd tried the "Urban Heat: Hip Hop Workout" from Tru 2 Form, and it was lousy! Quick Fix is a whole different ballgame though.
The moves are fun and challenging. I like a 30 minute aerobic workout, so I do all three segments at a time, one after the other. I'm already sweating profusely when I finish the first segment, so I can say with certainty that doing one or two of these quick workouts at a time will also get the heart pumping.
The moves are a lot of fun, and the instructor breaks them down quite well, especially considering the limited time period. They are a bit complex, but, as my fellow aerobics lovers know, this makes the workout interesting and exciting. Stick with it, and you will learn all the moves... Spicy hot and energetic, this well-designed, fun-filled Crunch Cardio Salsa workout keeps you burning body fat as you dance, wave your arms, and swing your hips to live drums with a Latin flair. Salsa, meringue, samba, and cha cha steps highlight these high-energy aerobic dance patterns, taught one step at a time, then building gradually into combinations. The footwork is fast-moving but not difficult to learn, thanks to the careful way perky instructor Giselle Roque de Escobar teaches and cues. She performs the workout accompanied by 6 bare-bellied women and one man, and an exuberant and skillful drummer. Everyone is fit, young, lean, and enthusiastic. The workout heats up quickly and burns for 40 minutes. Recommended for aerobic dance fans who want to spice up their workouts... Once again, Paula is doing moves that those of us who have carpet cannot do without hurting our joints! The moves are again dated, and although they're easier to pick up, they still will be difficult for some people. I cannot rip the carpet off the floor just to do this tape, because the landlord would not like it. And so much space is needed that even in my big living room, I don't have enough room. I recommend the Balletone series from Collage Videos. They give a good toning workout without needing a lot of room and without injuring the viewer. I was cautious with this purchase... I hated Pick your Spot Pilates (by Crunch).
This is a great video! The music is great (one song is from the firm ^_^) I noticed a lot of ballet moves in this one! Ballet is great when it comes to toning!
The instructor is lively and excited, as are the people in the background. I love seeing multiple people doing the exercises "correctly" at different levels. It helps me adjust my movement/stances at my own pace.
The music was fine--- The instructor stayed up with the rhythm of the music. More Info about this DVD Actor(s): Ellen Barrett DVD Release Date: Released the 07 September 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours

This "workout" is not at all intense. Plus, you have to listen to the silly dialoque which is basically Carmen's trainer saying "can you feel this Carmen?" and Carmen saying "Oh, yes, I can really feel this one!"
I thought this would be a good tape because it was so popular but I was really disappointed. Go for Jane Fonda or the 8 minute workout series instead. More Info about this DVD Director(s): Edward Lachman DVD Release Date: Released the 21 December 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours
