This movie made me feel good all over. It just kinda took me by surprise and swept me offa my feet. I don't think I have ever felt this way about another movie so far, so I know I can hang with that. Anyways, it makes me feel special and when i see those actors in the love triangle, it gives me a good feeling all over.
This is NOT Ruby Cairo
This is the edited edition of Ruby Cairo, which was released in the U.S. Andy McDowell objected to the nudity in the original. "Deceptions" is the edited version. Ruby Cairo is only available overseas. I give it 2 stars because it is not the original.
A rainy Saturday movie-
I enjoyed this movie. It is a mystery with a twist (the best kind) and since I enjoy the three main actors in the "triangle" (Andie, Liam, and Viggo) it was fun to wait for new and different scenes to compare (and on which to speculate) as the characters developed.
Sean Penn announced his retirement from acting, then wrote and directed this emotionally raw, somewhat sprawling film, suggested by Bruce Springsteen's song "Highway Patrolman." David Morse is the title character, an upstanding citizen and peace officer who tries to help his troubled--and troublesome--brother (Viggo Mortensen), recently returned from Vietnam. The brother and his girlfriend (Patricia Arquette) have bad news written all over them--but Morse does what he can to be protector, to no avail. Penn, whose model was John Cassavetes, favors long scenes that draw intense emotions from his cast, which includes Charles Bronson (in an unusually low-key role), Sandy Dennis, and Valeria Golino. But it's as depressing as Springsteen's song. --Marshall FineMore Info about this DVD Actor(s): David Morse - Viggo Mortensen Director(s): Sean Penn DVD Release Date: Released the 11 December 2001 Usually ships in 24 hours

It was very predictable ending and not so exciting plots or anything, but was fast pace and entertaining enough for me to watch for 90 minutes. There were a lot of bloody scenes as expected, but it was not about all the actions in the movie, which kept my interest. It was about trust, loyalty, brotherhood between two men who came from the two different worlds. More Info about this DVD Director(s): Frank A. Although its tale of marital crisis unfolds a bit too cleanly, A Walk on the Moon--which was coproduced by Dustin Hoffman--offers a welcome relief from the juvenile assault of skull-throbbing blockbusters. The story is gently involving, the characters are authentic, and, best of all, Diane Lane is given a chance to show why she's one of the most genuine and underrated actresses of her generation. Here she plays Pearl Kantrowitz, a devoted housewife on a routine vacation in the Catskills with her TV repairman husband Marty (Liev Schreiber), 14-year-old daughter (Anna Paquin), and rambunctious younger son (Tovah Feldshuh).
It's the summer of 1969. Neil Armstrong has made his "one small step for man," Woodstock is about to happen nearby (leading to a barely plausible dramatic...
