    too short

the music is good, the film is very interesting with both animals and peoples but we don't see enough animals in the deep
    jungle,
the high definition is very succesful with wonderful colors but it could have been used more for our pleasure

    A Medicine Man's Journey

Mirrors of clouds dance across miles of glossy river as aerial views create a sense of breathless wonder. The vast expanses are captured with an added sense of magic. As a medicine man seeks plants with curative powers he wanders through lost cities embraced by ancient mountains.

He braves formidable rapids and takes a train ride. The dense forests and river are the focus and you can see a sloth swimming and brief glimpse of a jaguar. Pink dolphins revel in sunlit spaces of peaceful beauty and snakes slither through muddy ponds shadowed by towering trees.

Waterfalls as if from a dream, appear and disappear. Indian tribes help researchers find medicinal plants and babies are found drifting, asleep on water lily pads. We learn about leaves that will heal injuries and why tribes use spider webs for medicinal purposes.

The story of the medicine man gives the story continuity and the images of nature's splendor are beyond awe invoking. My kitten Meesa was absolutely entranced by the fast moving images of boats on the rivers and was batting at images on the screen.

    Only 39 minutes !

This movie is nice, I bought it to see high quality WMVHD high definition content, but I'm quite disapointed that it only last 39 minutes, making it quite expensive for the length... I also had problem getting it to run on XP SP2 but resolved them by running the components directly from the command line as the support site indicated

Coral Reef Adventure (IMAX) (2-Disc WMVHD Edition) DVD

Like any IMAX movie, Coral Reef Adventure is so vivid, vast, and colorful that you can't help but be astonished by its visual splendor. But this undersea exploration has a deeper, more serious agenda as well, warning its viewers that the natural magnificence of the world's most impressive coral reefs is, in most cases, a mere 30 years away from extinction due to the devastating effects of global (and oceanic) warming. Whether or not that timeframe is accurate (and there's not enough solid science presented here to prove it either way), it's tragically obvious that we are in the process of losing entire ecosystems that cannot be replaced, and when you witness these awesome coral reefs in their still-thriving vitality, you experience a sense of urgent responsibility toward our... The Magic of Flight (Large Format) (2-Disc WMVHD Edition) DVD

Fly with the U.S. Navy's elite Blue Angels demonstration squadron in the breathtaking video The Magic of Flight, which explains the basic principles of what enables airplanes (and birds) to fly, what creates lift, how planes maneuver, how planes land again. Going back to the Wright Brothers' experiments at Kitty Hawk, the documentary explores how the intrepid bicycle makers ruminated on the elements of flight for many an hour before even attempting to assemble their first aircraft. The Blue Angels put into action the discoveries made by the Wright Brothers, as they make their selections, train, and perform.

Pilots push their high-performance fighter planes through difficult but graceful maneuvers for amazed air-show audiences, demonstrating where the state of the art really... More Info about this DVD

Dolphins (Large Format) (2-Disc WMVHD Edition) DVD

Believe it or not, an IMAX film can make the transition to video perfectly well. It might not be three stories tall, but Dolphins is still a lovely, larger-than-life exploration of these strangely intelligent creatures. Visit the Bahamas, Argentina, and beyond to see different varieties (like the graceful duskies) play and hunt. Pierce Brosnan's narration and Sting's music fill the water with sound and add counterpoint to the dolphin's shrill cries; the film is an overwhelming experience even in the living room. Two short features follow the main attraction: see behind-the-scenes footage of the making of Dolphins as the enormous IMAX camera follows the sleek, gorgeous beasts, and learn some hard facts about marine science including how dolphins fit into their complex... Journey Into Amazing Caves (Large Format) (2-Disc WMVHD Edition) DVD

Directed by Stephen Judson (Everest, the Oscar®-nominated short Dolphins) and narrated by Liam Neeson (the voice behind Everest and The Endurance), Journey into Amazing Caves centers around the work of "cavers" Nancy Aulenbach and Dr. Hazel Barton. Aulenbach is a teacher from Georgia, and Barton, a microbiologist from England. During the course of the 38-minute documentary, they travel from Arizona to Greenland to Mexico, exploring remote caves all the way. All are difficult to get to; some can only be reached by rock climbing (the cave in the Grand Canyon), others can only be reached by rappelling down slick sheets of ice (the one in Greenland). As a result, there's something for everyone in this popular IMAX feature, including a dramatic score... More Info about this DVD

Speed (Large Format) (2-Disc WMVHD Edition) DVD

For anyone who craves the adrenaline rush of maximum velocity, Speed is a thrill ride custom-made for superior home-theater systems. Like any IMAX film, this popular 30-minute program suffers from home-theater reduction, but its crisp images and flawless audio (especially in DTS mode) provide adequate compensation as James Burke (lively host of the classic science/invention series Connections) narrates a brisk survey of speed, from the earliest push-pedal bicycle, to the Stanley Steamer, internal combustion engines (including a nod to pioneering hot-rodder Bill Vukovich), jets, rockets, and beyond. From Chuck Yeager's breaking of the sound barrier in 1947's Bell X-1, to the supersonic SR-71 "Blackbird" spy-plane, the Apollo missions, rocket-powered dragsters, and the Blue...
