DVD The Bourne Identity (Full Screen Extended Edition)
Freely adapted from Robert Ludlum's 1980 bestseller, The Bourne Identity starts fast and never slows down. The twisting plot revs up in Zurich, where amnesiac CIA assassin Jason Bourne (Matt Damon), with no memory of his name, profession, or recent activities, recruits a penniless German traveler (Run Lola Run's Franka Potente) to assist in solving the puzzle of his missing identity. While his CIA superior (Chris Cooper) dispatches assassins to kill Bourne and thus cover up his failed mission, Bourne exercises his lethal training to leave a trail of bodies from Switzerland to Paris. Director Doug Liman (Go) infuses Ludlum's intricate plotting with a maverick's eye for character detail, matching breathtaking action with the humorous, thrill-seeking chemistry of Damon and Potente. Previously made as a 1988 TV movie starring Richard Chamberlain, The Bourne Identity benefits from the sharp talent of rising stars, offering intelligent, crowd-pleasing excitement from start to finish. --Jeff Shannon
Review(s): DVD The Bourne Identity (Full Screen Extended Edition)
Matt Damon's Tough??!! Who- Wha?!
This will dethrone the James Bond franchise. Don't believe me? Excluding all Bond films featuring Roger Moore and Sean Connery, show me just ONE that's better than this, and I'll get a mirror and show you an absolute moron that wouldn't know a good spy movie if it karate-chopped him on the neck and then stole his identity before trying to find it out again and---I WAS going somewhere with that....
Anyway, Jason Bourne makes James Bond look like a total pretty-boy British hose-job. No wait...he is.
Matt Damon At His Best..
For me the top reason why this movie is so kickass is because of Matt Damon- he is deff. at his best in this movie. The determination and focus of his character throughout the entire movie is exaclty what made this movie so good.
The plot is cool- the scenes are cool- the locations and settings are awesome...which make for a good movie. Watch it, you wont be disappointed.
Action Excellence
One of the better action movies of the last several years. Action movies come and go & are merely momentarily enjoyable. The Bourne Identity is a keeper. Intelligent, fast paced, & hard hitting. Excellent slam-bam action sequences and one of the greatest car chases in motion picture history. Up there with Bullitt, The French Connection & Ronin. A smart, sophisticated action movie.

When we met our hero, Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) in THE BOURNE IDENTITY,
he was trying not to remember what happened last time and ends up
in a beachhouse. This film, as great as the first one has Bourne
trying to escape the beachhouse when the CIA (led by Joan Allen)
wants him dead, killing his girlfriend (Franka Potente) and taking
harmless Nicky (Julia Stiles) as hostage, leading Bourne many places
(incvluding India, Germany, Moscow, and more). Breathtaking,
entertaining sequel has as much car chases as THE ITALIAN JOB
and still the suspense of Robert Ludlum's book. A sequel
is expected next year, just for your imformation. More Info about this DVD Director(s): Paul Greengrass DVD Release Date: Released the 07 December 2004 Usually ships in 6 to 11 days

More than a few critics hailed Spider-Man 2 as "the best superhero movie ever," and there's no compelling reason to argue--thanks to a bigger budget, better special effects, and a dynamic, character-driven plot, it's a notch above Spider-Man in terms of emotional depth and rich comic-book sensibility. Ordinary People Oscar-winner Alvin Sargent received screenplay credit, and celebrated author and comic-book expert Michael Chabon worked on the story, but it's director Sam Raimi's affinity for the material that brings Spidey 2 to vivid life. When a fusion experiment goes terribly wrong, a brilliant physicist (Alfred Molina) is turned into Spidey's newest nemesis, the deranged, mechanically tentacled "Doctor Octopus," obsessed with completing his experiment and... After creating the last great traditionally animated film of the 20th century, The Iron Giant, filmmaker Brad Bird joined top-drawer studio Pixar to create this exciting, completely entertaining computer-animated film. Bird gives us a family of "supers," a brood of five with special powers desperately trying to fit in with the 9-to-5 suburban lifestyle. Of course, in a more innocent world, Bob and Helen Parr were superheroes, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl. But blasted lawsuits and public disapproval forced them and other supers to go incognito, making it even tougher for their school-age kids, the shy Violet and the aptly named Dash. When a stranger named Mirage (voiced by Elizabeth Pena) secretly recruits Bob for a potential mission, the old glory days spin in his head, even if... Ocean's Eleven improves on 1960's Rat Pack original with supernova casting, a slickly updated plot, and Steven Soderbergh's graceful touch behind the camera. Soderbergh reportedly relished the opportunity "to make a movie that has no desire except to give pleasure from beginning to end," and he succeeds on those terms, blessed by the casting of George Clooney as Danny Ocean, the title role originated by Frank Sinatra. Fresh out of jail, Ocean masterminds a plot to steal $163 million from the seemingly impervious vault of Las Vegas's Bellagio casino, not just for the money but to win his ex-wife (Julia Roberts) back from the casino's ruthless owner (Andy Garcia). Soderbergh doesn't scrimp on the caper's comically intricate strategy, but he finds greater joy in assembling a stellar... Some movie-loving wizards must have cast a magic spell on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, because it's another grand slam for the Harry Potter franchise. Demonstrating remarkable versatility after the arthouse success of Y Tu Mamá También, director Alfonso Cuarón proves a perfect choice to guide Harry, Hermione, and Ron into treacherous puberty as the now 13-year-old students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry face a new and daunting challenge: Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) has escaped from Azkaban prison, and for reasons yet unknown (unless, of course, you've read J.K. Rowling's book, considered by many to be the best in the series), he's after Harry in a bid for revenge. This dark and dangerous mystery drives the action while Harry...
