Leave to FOX to be villianous! Go Corporate Republicans!
Where's the COMPLETE episodes for Season 3? After editing Season 2, we now get a very edited Season 3. Well, Fox won't be getting my money.
In Living Color--remembering the uniqueness
I have purchased In Living Color Seasons 1 and 2, and thoughly enjoyed them and do not regret having purchased them. But this DVD of the 3rd season is especially fun, because of the addition of Jamie Foxx to the cast. When I first saw Jamie Foxx on the show(when it was on the tube),I thought he was really funny but wierd. Especially when he was in drag. Now,all these years later, we all know how really funny but how talented he really is. So this season 3 of In Living Color is a really good buy for any lover of the show.
Goodbye Damon, the show will miss you
this is a great season now it's a little bit funnier than season two and I like the new and old characters.
To label In Living Color "the black SNL" is to not give this groundbreaking sketch comedy its props. Like its late-night counterpart, In Living Color pushed the envelope with sketches that remain in questionable taste ("Fashion Tampons"). It also presented its share of TV show, movie, and commercial parodies. But its racially charged humor that tackled race relations and subverted cultural stereotypes was something 1990 TV viewers were not used to seeing, especially in prime time. Among the most potent sketches featured series creator Keenen Ivory Wayans and brother Damon as the Brothers Brothers, two oblivious Toms who, in one sketch, act as spokespersons for the Arizona Tourism Commission in the wake of that state's controversial decision not to recognize Martin... Unlike the original Saturday Night Live cast, the In Living Color ensemble was definitely ready for prime time. But, was prime time ready for In Living Color? This subversively funny 1990 sketch-comedy series boldly went where SNL feared to tread, particularly in matters of race relations and cultural stereotypes. Series creator Keenen Ivory Wayans was hot after his hilarious blaxploitation spoof, I'm Gonna Git Ya Sucka. But In Living Color was hotter. According to a "Looking Back" segment included in this three-disc set, it took him a year to sell the pilot. He fronted a young, gifted, and mostly black cast, including David Alan Grier, Tommy Davidson, Damon Wayans, Kim Wayans, and T'Keyah "Crystal" Keyman. "James" Carrey and Kelly Coffield were... i don't agree with anyone who thinks this season is awesome. most of the skits are only 15 minutes in length. once again cheap fox won't buy the music rights. there is sections (i think) that have been either doctored or just cut out. you'll be watching an episode and you'll see the screen mismatch up for a brief moment. you'll think it's your eyes but it's not. thank you fox for butchering all of the seasons of in living color. even though my review isn't that great i still believe that in living color was and is one of the best sketch comedy series on t.v. so they're all still worth buying. Dave Chappelle's shrewd parodies, stinging satires, and boldly imaginative fantasias simply pour from the second season of his Comedy Central show, in every respect as funny as his well-received debut year. The structure is the same: a relaxed Chappelle introduces each sketch to an enthusiastic, studio audience (some of these introductions amount to stand-up routines), and then the madness begins. Among the many highlights from the 13 episodes on this boxed set's three discs is a mock ad for Samuel L. Jackson beer, featuring Chappelle's hilarious impression of Jackson's stern, overbearing persona from Pulp Fiction, and a dozen other features. Chappelle, considering a career in politics, floats a couple of trial campaign commercials, including one that promises to solve America's... I remember a time where you'd actually watch tv for tv shows. Not stupid 1 season, or even 1 episode game shows, reality tv, dating shows, etc. The Bundy family will forever remain one of the classic families on TV. You could watch every episode in a marathon without switching the channel or leaving the sofa.
