Review(s): DVD The Perils of Penelope Pitstop - The Complete Series
Para cuando un AMAZON en ESPAÑA???
PRESENTACION, CALIDAD Y PRECIO, TODO SE MERECE UN 10.
At last it's on Dvd Yeah!!!!
This is one dvd set that does not disappoint. It has lots of extras from commentary, interviews, and a collectible print. The cartoons are really good kept me laughing the whole time! The Ant Hill mob, Bully brothers and the hooded claw all add to the pure enjoyment of this dvd. Two thumbs up for this dvd set it was worth the wait.
The Title sounds so bad.
I think of this title now; The Pearls of Penelope Pitstop and It really sounds like a Tv add for Bath room paper. The Anthill Gang, well we won't go there. The animators never actually got original with some of these shows or their titles. The shows are indeed the syndicated film prints of them. It turns out that this series has not been seen in close to thrity years and regretfully (or not) the original film prints have become lost.

I have some of the fondest memories of watching Top Cat when I was living in Mexico, but owning this set is one of the best investments I have made to share with my daughters a little bit of what entertainment used to be.
Though I could hear the original English soundband, the outstanding cast of voices in Spanish makes it even more delightful to watch. The translation is superb and the jokes do not lose a single bit. More Info about this DVD DVD Release Date: Released the 07 December 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours

Like the previous entries in the Looney Tunes Golden Collection series, volume 3 confirms how brilliant the Warner Bros. artists were and how durable their creations have proven. The set includes classics that every cartoon buff will recognize: "Duck! Rabbit! Duck!," "Robin Hood Daffy," "Birds Anonymous." Other selections are less familiar but significant in the development of the studio: "Sinkin' in the Bathtub," the first Looney Tune; "I Haven't Got a Hat," the earliest Warners cartoon viewers can watch for fun, rather than as an historic curiosity; "Porky's Romance," in which director Frank Tashlin introduced rapid cutting to cartoons. Some of the caricature films have aged less gracefully. Younger audiences will recognize the drawn versions of W.C. Fields, the Marx Brothers,... Unlike Disney, which has it's penultimate character, Mickey, there really isn't one Hanna Barbera character that you can slap the company name on. You have so many popular shows and characters, everyone is surely to have their favorite. From Fred Flinstone, to George Jetson, Yogi, Huck, Top Cat, and Scooby Doo, there are just too many to put on top as the clear fan favorite.
One thing is for sure, one of the staple characters and my favorite is Yogi Bear and his beloved sidekick, Boo Boo. They are constantly getting in trouble with Ranger Smith, either for stealing picnic baskets, or trying to escape from Jellystone Park. Of course, many should be able to tell that the characterization of Yogi came from Ed Norton of the Honeymooners (while Fred Flinstone was Jackie...
