Great show - Terrible quality DVD
I don't know who actually produced the DVD manufacturing for HBO/CBS, but they need to recall all the DVD's and replace them. The quality of the DVD's, especially on Disc 1, the Pilot is worse than pirated copies from VHS.
I love the show. I always have and always will, but my Raymond fix will have to be satisfied with reruns from TV. I have several other television series bought from Amazon and they've all been exceptional. But the ELR collection is scratchy, grainy, out of focus, washed-out colors, and the DVD playback stutters and hangs.
The one star is for the production quality only, not the show or customer service. Amazon processed and delivered in the usual grade-A manner. So none of this is Amazon's fault. I'll continue to buy, but I may be a little more careful in the future before buying a DVD series produced by or for HBO/CBS.
Keep in mind, though, that the Hogan's Heroes is CBS, but it is Paramount/CBS. Its quality is superb, so the key is HBO video.
If you don't mind putting up with the glitches above, go ahead and get this series. Otherwise, watch it on reruns or wait for CBS to get someone other than HBO video to produce it.

The show is a good one, Our first disk seemed a little dark, the second disk seemed ok. It's a fun show to watch especially with no commercials. Only 22 min. per episode. Makes it easy to watch even for the busy person.

I caught this on TV on the day it showed. It was excellent! It's a shame the series came to an end. but this was worth the time!
Ray has something very weird about him: he has an infection. He goes to the doctors to get it taken care of... But then the Doctor tells Debra that Ray is dead and upsets the family. But it turns out he was unconscious for a few seconds. Then, Ray has Ice cream to cool what happened earlier. Then, Marie, Frank and Rob get upset.
It's hard to believe, but for the first three seasons nobody really knew that Seinfeld was about, well, you know. It wasn't until season 4--unleashed here in a four-disc set that's equal in scope, quality, and quantity of bonus material to its predecessors--that the show really became something. In a series which can claim every installment as classic, the two-parter on disc 1 titled "The Pitch/The Ticket" truly stands out as a defining episode and, in retrospect, marked Seinfeld 4 as the breakthrough season. It's the one where (fake) NBC executives express their interest in working with Jerry Seinfeld on a TV show, then moves to the who's-on-first shtick of George successfully pitching Jerry on creating "a show about nothing." The beloved sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond would be as brutal as a Strindberg drama if it didn't make familial bitterness so genuinely funny. The fourth season of The King of Queens opens with a perfect example of how the show spins real life into farce: Delivery guy Doug and his sardonic wife Carrie (Kevin James and Leah Remini) want to get pregnant, but can't get Carrie's cantankerous father Arthur (Jerry Stiller) out of the house; the only solution their budget will allow is hiring a dog-walker named Holly (Nicole Sullivan) to take Arthur to the park. A more banal sitcom would conclude with Arthur's rage when he discovers the truth, but The King of Queens finds a grace note with Arthur and Holly beginning a genuine friendship.
