One of elmo's best
My 13 month old granddaughter absolutely loves this video. She hears the music and gets up to dance. She actually laughs at the shade "acting" up. We have the videos for birthdays (yawn), and dogs & babies which is somewhat better than birthdays, and the holiday with elmo (she didn't care for at all) but this video actually holds her attention; she'll walk away during the "grownup" portions to play and then returns for the elmo portions. You can just get dinner completed. Highly recommended.
My son's favorite
My toddler son loves Elmo's World and so I was looking for a video that redeemed the Elmo name after the traumatizing "Elmo's World: The Great Outdoors." This is not scary at all and has made him laugh more than any video he's ever seen. It even redeemed "Mr. Noodle" in the scene where he tries his hardest to eat a bowl of noodles. My son laughed so hard he almost cried.
Honestly, I bought this video as a last resort when he was sick and I was looking for the "Babies, Dogs and More" DVD people keep raving about. This was the last "Elmo's World" video on the shelf he didn't have. I wasn't expecting much, but wow was I surprised. It usually takes him a time or two to warm up to a new video, but not with this one. With a 102 fever, he jumped on the couch and laughed hysterically. It was an instant success!

This DVD is our favorite Elmo's World DVD. It keeps his attention for almost every minute... almost. My chief complaint is general for ALL Elmo's World episodes: Mr. Noodle. He is irritating and can't hold my son's attention. Other than that, it is fantastic. He loves it when Elmo opens the door and the clothes fall on him. I'm appalled at people's reaction here to a same-sex couple being depicted briefly in the Elmo's World episode on Families. What are you teaching your children about our world and acceptance of others if you filter this kind of content from your children? Sorry folks, but like it or not this is a reality of the world we live in, and the sooner children learn not to be as shocked by this as their parents may be, the sooner we will all be able to live together in peace. How do you plan to filter this reality in your child's classroom? Out in the comunity? Even in church? If anything the choice to depict diversity in families is commendable and a reason to recommend this DVD, not to condemn it.
