THIS IS THE BEST TEACHING DVD ON THE MARKET, THAT WE HAVE FOUND YET! WE HAVE BEEN PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS FROM DAY ONE . THE TECHNIQUE WILL NOT BORE YOU THE MUSIC IS GREAT AND THERE IS SO MUCH INFORMATION IN THIS DVD YOU ARE GOING TO BE GLAD YOU BOUGHT IT .

I purchased this dvd for my 8 1/2-year-old daughter. I viewed the first few lessons with her. This is a very well-made video and would probably be appropriate for a motivated older teen, or a younger child if the parent is willing to sit and explain everything the instructor is saying. It is simply too fast and too comprehensive for a younger child. My daughter found a Marcy Marxer dvd much easier to follow. We'll keep the Fender one for later. I decided to "try" guitar, and of course found the "guitar for dummies" DVD. The narrator covers the basics, and has you playing a sond within minutes. "Fara jaqua" isn't the coolest song, but it's something. The chords are displayed on the screen, and he goes slow enough to follow. This really is a good beginners guide to guitar.....Good luck and enjoy! We found Learning Guitar, Step One to be very easy to follow as we learned the basics including strings, frets, cords and much more. For anyone who wants to learn how to play the guitar, or for the beginner who already plays but wants to know more about the basics of music, this is the DVD to get. The instructor is clear in his presentation while covering a great amount of material. We are looking forward to future DVDs in this series.
