Hayley has talent to burn - what a keeper!!

Hayley Westenra is not widely known in the U.S. yet, but just wait! If she has some good management that will allow her to follow her obviously excellent instincts rather than push her toward commercial pop, she will excel at anything that strikes her fancy. Since she was a young teen, she has mastered many styles of music, and she has only begun to show us what she can do. I can envision her making many top-rated albums, of course, but her instincts need some freedom to roam. Jazz? Of course. The classics? She's already demonstrated her capabilities and interests. Broadway? I sit and think of roles she could re-invent. I would love to hear her sing some of the great big band songs of the '40's. She brings perfect pitch, crystal clear tones, beautiful diction, emotion, life and love to her music. I became a fan after the first few songs on this video. Give her a listen and see if you don't get hooked too.

    Hayley live

Raw, powerful vocal talent, immature stage presence. Being 17 shows. Put this DVD in your home theater player and leave the tv off.

    Amazing...

If you are a fan of Hayley's incredibly pure and natural voice, definitely add this to your collection. Her beautiful performance of "Across The Universe of Time" with her sister, Sophie, is worth the price of this DVD. This DVD truly shows off her beautiful voice. "Wuthering Heights" particularly proves the amazing control she has. She is backed by a small orchestra and choir, which complement her perfectly. She covers a broad range of genres on this DVD, from classical to pop to even bluegrass, all of which she nails flawlessly. I highly recommend this DVD if you want to experience one of the most beautiful voices of our time. =)

    Celtic Woman DVD

Gorgeous to listen to and gorgeous to look at, Celtic Woman is perfect PBS fare, sort of a Riverdance without the dancing. Drawing on the same New Age-y sound and propulsive energy as that show's solo-voice and choral numbers, the live concert features four attractive young women in strapless evening gowns with soaring voices backed by an orchestra, an Anuna-like chorus, and a large percussion section. The more traditional fare includes Méav Ni Mhaolchatha's "Danny Boy" and "She Moved Through the Fair," and Chloë Agnew's "Ave Maria" (the Bach-Gounod version). Movie and TV selections range from Agnew's "Walking in the Air" (The Snowman) and "Someday" (Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame) to Lisa Kelly's "May It Be" (the Enya song from The Lord of... Sarah Brightman - Live from Las Vegas DVD

Never thought I will have to rate a Brightman DVD less than 5 stars after La Luna -- but this one let me down.
Sarah is great, the show is above excellent, I van't even imagine how they put together all that stage and lighting...

Sound is superb too (I listen to the DTS track).

The operator and cutting is good too -- sticker says they used some 50 cameras... But a plenty of those cameras myst be faulty or mis-selected for the articular job. And/or they spolied the compression. Whatever, the result is half the time you look at the screen and see fuzzy background and screen artefacts like if you watched a DIV3 version compressed down to 500K. A shame really. The 'foreground' is okey but anything considered backgroud is a mess.

I admit the... More Info about this DVD
