Review(s): DVD Samurai Jack - The Complete Seasons 1 & 2
Everything you want from Samurai Jack
The seasons were everything that I was hoping for. I don't think that the DVD have left my players since they came in the mail. Good stuff.... I can't wait for the rest of them to come out.
Absolutly Great
One of the best animated cartoons that I have watched. Samurai Jack offers more cinimatic style and fun, over-the-top action than most big-budget-summer-action flicks. The stylized symplistic animation (think Rocky and Bullwinkle) work to the shows advantage, drawing attention only the important elements of the show. And the depth of the storytelling surpasses that of what is expected from a TV show and is just down-right GOOD.
This show is not, however, perfect. A number of episodes (IV,XII,XIII,XXVI) as downright bad. But episodes(VII,VIII,XIV,XVIII,XIX,XXV) more than make up for them (enough to still give the product a 5star rating).
Absolutly buy this product if you like action shows, cartoons and good storytelling.
I am just waiting for season 3 and 4 to come out on DVD too.
His Kung-Fu is strong
Samurai Jack - The Complete Seasons 1 & 2 is a masterpeice with only one flaw. It lacks season three! :) Seriously, it's good stuff.

The graphically inventive feature that introduced the Cartoon Network series owes as much to the cartoons of UPA and Chuck Jones as it does to anime. The title character is a prince whose family has fought the evil demon Aku for control of their fanciful Asian kingdom for ages. During an intense battle, Jack is hurled into a future city ruled by Aku and his henchmen-robots. After aiding some talking dogs, Jack vows to continue his struggle against Aku and return to own time. The angular, minimal visuals are effective and eclectic: Aku's face is modeled on Sri Lankan demon masks, and the characters move in ways that fit their stylized designs. Unfortunately, the writing falls short of the visuals--the talking dogs would feel more at home in a "Ren and Stimpy" cartoon than in this... Make no mistake, Clone Wars is honest-to-goodness authentic Star Wars. The animated series takes place between Episode II, Attack of the Clones and Episode III, Revenge of the Sith. If the feature films covers the beginning and end of the war, Clone Wars depicts the actual battles and events that made heroes into legends. Don't expect too much character development, as the episodes tend to be driven more by flat-out action than by dialogue (which can be a good thing, considering some Star Wars dialogue). We see such familiar faces as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and Mace Windu in combat, and we meet the elite ARC (Advanced Recon Commandos) clone troopers plus new Jedi--the amphibious Kit Fisto and two women, Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee. We also... More Info about this DVD Director(s): Genndy Tartakovsky DVD Release Date: Released the 22 March 2005 Usually ships in 24 hours

From the creators of Batman: The Animated Series comes DC Comics' polar opposite: the Man of Steel in Superman: The Animated Series, Volume One. Like the Dark Knight's series, Superman: The Animated Series is a successful, modern telling of the classic story. Superman's tale is already known to most people, enduring as a modern American myth. The challenge for the producers was how to make something old and familiar new again. Quite successfully, they managed to modernize the Superman environment and its characters enough to attract a new audience but also maintained the integrity of the mythos to satisfy longtime fans. What lifts Superman: The Animated Series above all past Superman shows is its high-quality animation, strong dramatic scripts, a star studded...
