I couldn't help but be entertained

This movie is charming and I couldn't help but be entertained by Dom D.'s acting. He plays a fat man (really he's not that fat in the movie, more like chubby) who struggles with his addiction to food. He goes on a strict diet, but it only fuels his hunger until he falls in love. Dom D. cries a lot in this movie and talks about food a lot. He does a pretty good job of making you hungry. I have to admit that while watching it I had cravings for donuts, cake and ice cream. Dom D. makes the movie worth buying.

    Classic!!

This is a classic movie!!! Dom Deluise is great! I recommend this movie to anyone who wants a good laugh.

    Fatso

This movie is a slow moving comedy with few laughs. A bad buy.

    The End DVD

Burt Reynolds directed and stars in this dark comedy, which suffers from diminishing returns the longer it goes on. He plays a fellow who discovers that he has a terminal illness and wants to spare himself and everyone he knows the seemingly unavoidable end of a painful malady. So he decides to kill himself. But he proves surprisingly inept at it and after several tries winds up in a mental hospital, where he meets a cheerfully homicidal inmate (Dom DeLuise). The suicide stuff was handled more imaginatively and with greater flair in Harold and Maude; the film has very few real jokes and only comes to life twice: when Burt tries to confess to an easily impressed young priest (Robby Benson) and when the lunatic DeLuise is onscreen. --Marshall Fine More Info about this DVD

The Prisoner of Second Avenue DVD

This is one of my all time favorite movies. It shows the funny side of people only concerned about themselves. You have Jack Lemmon as a recently unemployed adman, and Anne Bancroft as his sympathetic yet let's be practical wife. I feel that this is both thier finest hours in this movie as the chemistry shows that they really enjoyed working with each other. I find Lemmon's character is one who just can't believe that his career is over, and he's nowhere near the age of retirement, and plus he's from the old school where the woman stayed at home while the man goes out, and gets the meat. When Bancroft's character goes to work it causes a breakdown in Lemmon's character as his perfect world continues to crumble making him hostile towards everyone; his family, friends, his wife, the...
