DVD Moonlighting - Seasons 1 & 2
Glamorous Maddie Hayes (Cybill Shepherd) is an ex-model with a problem--her accountant just ran off with her money. Granted, he did leave her with a few broken-down businesses. One happens to be a detective agency run by charming loudmouth David Addison (Bruce Willis). Her attempt to shutter the agency fails when they stumble across a crime and David convinces Maddie to help him solve it. And with that, one of television's most popular partnerships was born. Moonlighting made a star out of newcomer Willis and turned Shepherd (Taxi Driver), who had already found fame through fashion and film, into a bona fide TV star.
Created for ABC by Glenn Gordon Caron (Remington Steele), the romantic comedy/detective drama was a mid-season replacement that quickly became a hit. There were only six episodes in the first season, including the two-part pilot, but 18 were produced for the second. Rhyming receptionist Agnes DiPesto (Allyce Beasley) was a regular from the start, while Herbert Viola (Rays Curtis Armstrong) wouldnt hit the scene until the third season (as with Paul Sorvino and Mark Harmon). The first two seasons attracted an eclectic array of guest stars, including Tim Robbins ("Gunfight at the So-So Corral"), Beasley's husband Vincent Schiavelli ("Next Stop Murder"), Dana Delany ("Knowing Her"), Richard Belzer ("Twas the Episode Before Christmas"), and Whoopi Goldberg ("Camille"), who earned an Emmy nomination for her performance. The most notable guest was surely Orson Welles, who introduces the black and white noir spoof "The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice." It would be his final TV appearance. Moonlighting ran for three more years. While the Emmy-winning Willis would abandon TV for the big screen, Shepherd found subsequent small screen success with Cybill. Caron, meanwhile, would launch another mid-season replacement series which became a surprise hit: NBC's Medium with Patricia Arquette. --Kathleen C. Fennessy
back when tv had humor - great laughs, just fun inane entertainment - i put it on our hastings entertainment - and peeps actually stop to watch - they end up either buying it or renting it - u can't go wrong if u were n your 30's n the 1980 -
The best TV show ever
At least it's my favorite. It works as a comedy, as an adventure, as a romantic story, as a mystery and as great entertainment. The show made Bruce Willis a star and deservedly so. Cybill Shepard had a part that fit her skills perfectly. The show didn't produce that many new episodes and the arrival of a new episode was an event. The show took wild risks and although not every one worked perfectly, its fans loved them for trying to do something more than an ordinary TV show. There has never been a show like this one - unique, original and always entertaining. If you've never seen this, you're in for a treat/
mayhem, mystery and Bruce Willis with hair...
MOONLIGHTING remains one of the most stylish and acclaimed TV shows of the 1980's, with it's fun mix of mystery, mayhem and `Odd Couple' chemistry between the two main characters. When ex-model Maddie Hayes (Cybill Shepherd) inherits ownership of the struggling Blue Moon Detective Agency, she gets much more than she bargained for with detective David Addison (Bruce Willis), not to mention eccentric secretary Agnes DiPesto (Allyce Beasley). The whole series hinged on the unresolved sexual tension between Maddie and David as they fought and bickered with each other, solved crimes, and fought and bickered some more...!
The pairing of longtime screen beauty Shepherd with up-and-comer Willis proved to be the key ingredient for the show's success, their chemistry is still the main reason why the series works so well even on repeat screenings, and their witty banter is hilarious.
This DVD boxset includes all the episodes from Seasons 1 and 2. Also included is an entertaining 2-part featurette which delves into the genenis and making of the show. Longtime fans of MOONLIGHTING are going to love this.

Remington Steele's fusion of whodunit mystery and screwball comedy burst onto television in 1982. After struggling to get clients to hire a female detective, Laura Holt (sultry Stephanie Zimbalist) invents a fictional boss named Remington Steele, whose dashing manly name draws in work. But while protecting some South African jewels, Holt runs across a mysterious thief and con-man (an elfin, baby-faced Pierce Brosnan) whom her client assumes is the nonexistent Steele--and when the case is resolved, the accidental detective decides he likes the work and sticks around, infuriating Holt with his arrogant ways and tantalizing her with his dashing good looks. Murders may occur at a winery, an island sex club, or a college reunion, but just about every episode plunders plot elements from... For Steele's sophomore year, Murphy and Bernice are out and Mildred Krebs (Emmy-magnet Doris Roberts) is in. She gets pulled into the orbit of private investigators Laura Holt (Stephanie Zimbalist) and Remington Steele (Pierce Brosnan) when she audits their agency in the two-part season opener ("Steele Away With Me"). Krebs follows the duo to Acapulco, where she helps with a case, and ends up abandoning the IRS for the more glamorous world of detective work. Other changes include a revamped title sequence and a new loft for Holt when a failed assassination attempt results in the destruction of her home ("Red Holt Steele").
While Krebs represents a welcome addition, wily quick change artist Major Descoine (Guy Boyd), who is introduced a few episodes later ("Steele Framed"), is... More Info about this DVD Actor(s): Stephanie Zimbalist DVD Release Date: Released the 08 November 2005 Usually ships in 24 hours

As a diehard Pierce Brosnan fan I grew up begging to be allowed to stay up late on a school night to see Remington Steele. I even used to lie and say I had never seen it if it was a repeat. In college, the best gift I got were VCR recordings of these shows from A&E that my mother made for me, actually pausing out commercials. When the DVDs were given to me by my husband I thought I was in heaven. I was right. These are so wonderful! I can watch them over and over and they fit in so nicely with every other Brosnan DVD I own. I love it when I have an excuse to curl up in front of the TV now! If you have ever enjoyed Remington Steele you should absolutely buy these in a second! The quality is great, the shows have no grainy qualities, and they are so much better than my worn out... Created by Sidney Sheldon (I Dream of Jeannie), Hart to Hart was a Thin Man for the 1980s. Self-made millionaire Jonathan (Robert Wagner, It Takes a Thief) and part-time journalist Jennifer Hart (Stefanie Powers, The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.) even had their own Asta-like pooch, Freeway. Unlike Nick and Nora Charles, however, children weren't part of their globe trotting, crime solving plan. Fortunately, they had trusty butler/Bentley driver Max (Golden Globe winner Lionel Stander) to keep them company.
Mr. And Mrs. H., as Max referred to them, were introduced by 1979's two-part pilot ("Hart to Hart"), which features Roddy McDowall and Stella Stevens as devious doctors and Wagner's future wife, Jill St. John (Diamonds are Forever), as a wealthy...
