This movie is ridiculous, it has the usual eighties teen movie stereotypes, the plot sucks...and i can't watch it enough times. Top that!

I LOVED THIS MOVIE WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER AND I STILL LOVE IT TODAY! I LOVE THE MUSIC...IT WILL HAVE YOU SINGING THEM TOO! IT'S A FUN MOVIE! A GOOD MOVIE THAT ANYONE CAN WATCH AGAIN AND AGAIN! THIS MAKES A GREAT SLUMBER PARTY MOVIE. I THINK IT TEACHES A LESSON TOO THAT WE ALL DEAL WITH....TRYING TO FIT IN, WANTING TO BE LOVED AND ACCEPTED TO LEARNING HOW TO JUST BE YOURSELF. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! IT HAS COMEDY, ROMANCE, DRAMA, MUSIC, DANCING....IT'S A GREAT PICK!

Based on Jill Murphy's book, this charming movie is set in an English boarding school for witches--complete with orange and black school uniforms, broom-flying exercises, and potion assignments for lab. The incompetent student of the title, Mildred, is played by a fetching young Fairuza Balk. Diana Rigg is the nasty head teacher, Tim Curry the (oddly) idolized Grand Wizard, and TV's Facts of Life maven Charlotte Rae does double duty as the school's kindly dean and her evil witch twin, who's bent on taking over the school. Though marketed as a raunchy teen sex comedy à la Porky's, Just One of the Guys is an amusing and well-acted comic riff on gender roles. Believing that she's lost a journalism contest because she's a woman, high school student Joyce Hyser disguises herself as a boy in order to see how the other half lives.
