Review(s): DVD Hercules The Legendary Journeys - Season 6
Fabulous - a must for your collection
The entire Hercules series was a slapstick, wacky and wonderfully serious (at times) portrayal of one of the world's greatest legends. This show is just super for all ages and while the fight scenes get a little old, they're still fun to watch because they put a lot of subtle comedy into each and every episode. Hercules offers us insights and layers of relevant issues in any time, plus a whole lot of fun. Good beats evil. Right beats wrong. Any questions?
Hercules The Legendary Journeys - Season 6
Season 6 of Hercules had everything that us the fans wanted and more. The last episode "Full Circle" could have been made into a two parter, even so that didn't take anything away from it. Glad that the wrap party was included and the footage from the last episode they filmed, it was so emotional. When Kevin tried to hold back his tears, so did I. I have great respect for Kevin as he wasn't scared to show how he really felt. Also loved it when he looked up from his notes looked at Sam and said "Sam I love you and thankyou for showing me that there is more to life than work" that really showed what a caring and loving man Kevin is. Love you for that.I agree with Rafeel Hercules The Legendary Journeys is now complete. Thankyou Anchor Bay for realeasing such a great series and giving us the fans a chance to own a series that will always stay in our hearts and to get back to what Rafeel said in her review Hercules the Legendary Journeys will never be forgotton, it will stay in our hearts forever. Hercules WILL live on forever.

Final Moments
Kevin Sorbo filmed Hercules season six knowing that he would leave. But when he left, it was a memorable moment. The sixth season of Herc was great. Yes it was short but the quality of the episodes had made up for it. Bonus features listed are great as well. Everything on the dvd sets is what the fans could ask for. This is one of my favorite seasons of Hercules. The journeys collection is complete, but will not be forgotton.

Xena season 6 is one of the top seasons of all. Effects, colors, action, suspense,..... everything!!!! Very sad to see it go when it did, but it seemed to cover all ground and end appropriately. In other words it ran a beautiful course.
The manner of ending the series was without a doubt, the best avenue of the times they were portraying and it was great to see an illustrated (yet fictional) view of how things may have went on back then. To be honest, this season started my path in Spirituality and the Paranormal.
As far as other negative reviews in regard to Christianty,... I feel it is probably very close to what really happened. Christianity wasnt always the top religion and scenes dipicting that seem to be in line with that. As a very spiritual person I found... I've enjoyed all the seasons of Hercules and this one is no exception. As with the other seasons, the audio and video transfer to DVD is very acceptable. It may not be the best season of Hercules ever, and we don't have anything that compares to the Golden Hind episodes from Season Three. However, this season is still highly entertaining with plenty of creativity and humor from the writers. I even liked seeing Hercules as a pig in Porkules!
I always like seeing Lucy Lawless come back as Xena, and she stars in two episodes, as noted below.
1. Beanstalks and Bad Eggs: Hercules sets out to find the kidnapped Lianna, and finds her caring for the Harpies' three golden eggs.
2. Hero's Heart: The goddess of luck, in an effort to erase one painful incident,... More Info about this DVD Actor(s): Kevin Sorbo DVD Release Date: Released the 13 July 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours

Forget Steve Reeves and all those Italian strongmen who played stiff, humorless versions of the mythic demigod in 1960s Saturday matinee fodder. Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (a cluster of 1990s television films followed by a syndicated series) re-imagines and re-introduces Hercules--son of Olympian chief Zeus and an earthbound, mortal mother--as a laidback but focused hero of ordinary folks with extraordinary problems. Played with casual grace and ironic wit by Kevin Sorbo, the new Hercules wanders through an equally entertaining, revisionist view of ancient Greece as, well, charming and accessible--not exactly Homeric. There are gods and monsters aplenty, but if this was the cradle of civilization, well....

The first two seasons are worth seeing. This season is terrible. It has no theme at all, no sense of direction - just a collection of unrelated poor episodes. The worst part is that Hercules second wife, who plays an excellent role, is killed off after only two episodes! What a pity. She was a much better actress than Xena and they killed her. Go figure. Season 2 had some very memorable episodes that are definetely worth watching. I especially love how they take classical Greek mythology and turn it on its head. Yes, it is not accurate or a historical portrayal, but it's damn fun! Love Jason from the Argonauts w/ Hercs mom.
