Whoever designed the cases/discs for both of the Sliders sets so far needs to be fired. Both cases are a huge risk to the discs. In the first one, its pretty easy to scratch them against one another. And this one is even worse!!! The double-sided discs wouldn't have been a problem if they hadn't arranged the case the way they did. Having to take the top disc out to get to the bottom disc? Absolutely ridiculous!. And you practically have to hold the case open with both hands just to open it wide enough to get the discs out without scratching them. Then, you've got no hands left to grab the disc(s)!!! If you plan on buying this series, plan on investing in a set of cases too. There's no way you should keep them in the case they come in.
Good, but NOT great season
I love sliders, I always have. This season is when the story just kinda goes downhill. Once the professor is killed off during the Exodus shows, that's when the show looses all hope. When Kari Wuhrer joins the cast, the producers are too worried about making sure her sex appeal is known rather than thinking that the show was doing horrible. I can't believe they let this happen, but it is still worth seeing. My favorite episode is Season's Greedings. It's the best one in my opinion on season 3.

Alright, to start with I have read all the reviews to date and decided I had to write my own. The lack of special features is the only valid complaint with the DVD set. As many others have already said it really would have been nice to have some input from the cast/crew. And the packaging is not the greatest out there. As with any series but scifi in particular, you have to take the good with the bad. If you are looking for comedy buy a comedy and if you are looking for Shakespearean dialogue look elsewhere. However if you consider yourself a TRUE scifi fan, then Earth 2 is a must. There are those that say the stories have been done and the aliens are not original. I have read a lot of negetive reviews about the shorter version of the episode "Threads" being on this set rather than the longer more boring version. I just picked up the set and have only watched the episode "Threads" (I watched the season when it aired). I thought the shorter version was better and quicker to get to the point, there was a lot of padding in the longer version. Although I don't agree with MGM's Decision to not to put the broadcast version on the DVD, I'm glad they didn't. I don't think I will trade in my set to get the longer version.
