  • DVD Revelations

Revelations is a spooky, classy thriller depicting the world as a battleground between satanists and those who adhere to miracles revealing God's divine plan for humanity. Bill Pullman stars as Harvard scientist Bill Massey, whose successful quest to bring his daughter's seemingly demon-possessed serial killer to justice turns him into a well-known debunker of others who claim to speak for the Beastmaster. Problem is, the man who killed Massey's girl appears to be the real thing, endowed with prophetic powers and a second sight that comes in handy when it's time to go after the grieving hero's other child.

Enter Sister Josepha (Natascha McElhone), a miracles investigator whose work is financially supported by a famous billionaire but disowned by the Vatican. Josepha has been led to Massey through a brain-dead girl who, though medically impossible, quotes scripture and has drawn a map to his office. Despite his skepticism, Massey teams with the nun in search of a kidnapped baby who may very well be the Christ-child in His just-in-time-for-Armageddon second coming. Written by David Seltzer (Dragonfly), and directed by occasional Buffy helmer David Semel and Lili Fini Zanuck (Rush), Revelations has an appealing vitality (especially when Massey and Sister Josepha become targets for assassins), a nice Hollywood gloss, and an unsettling air of mystery, as if angels and demons really are duking it out for dominion of the Earth right under our noses. --Tom Keogh

Revelations- What is there to reveal???

OK guys, you wanna know the truth????
The First DVD is really great, it would keep you all fastened up and thrilled on whats going to happen.. Later, its like..."What Happened" it just died down...going down and down..You know the feeling when you are reading a novel and the first 3 chapters is really great and later it just lead you nowhere?
This is it! Too bad I bought this dvd:(( if want something thats great for your soul... see "The Third Miracle" .

revelations is a good interpretation(not sure how acurate)

well some one wrote a bad review about it and for some reson never actualy watched the show so how can one make a legitimate review if you never actualy wached the show
well I have seen most of it and it was a good interpretaion of the book of revalations all the basics were there since no one can ever hope to understand the meaning of revelations since it was never meant to tell the future it was only meant to warn those who were in the future of what will happen in their time and only when the events come to pass will you recognize them for what they are and the second coming was not in this show that would happen after all of this the child in the show was the false christ(the anti christ) the one who can heal but not perminently and will claim to be christ when he is older.

    Another Hollywood Entertainment Biblical Fabrication

If what you want to see is a secular adventure drama, then this movie is better than many but not as good as some. IF, on the other hand, you are looking to watch a movie based upon biblical truth, THEN FORGET IT !!!

This movie is as full of biblical distortions, fabrications, perversions, Hollywood license and outright lies as any that I have seen. To think -- many people thought that "Inherit the Wind" was a Hollywood fabrication !! I believe that the Bible states that when Jesus returns the SECOND time, that it will be in "Power and Glory", NOT as a helpless little baby that requires some nun to protect Him. I also believe that the Bible says that "Every Eye Shall Behold Him", NOT that it will require some mega-million dollar secular organization to find Him.

The move did make SOME truthful statements, however. Like at the end, when the nun says that both Jesus and the antichrist are in our midst. Jesus is indeed with us today in Spiritual power. The antichrist is among us in the midst of movies such as this, that insist upon glorifying the supposed power and ability of Man. After all, 666 is the "number of Man"

The 4400 - The Complete First Season DVD

The 4400, which began as a five-week miniseries on the USA Network, is built around a deceptively simple, dramatically rich premise. What if all the people, who had ever been abducted by aliens, were suddenly returned to Earth? What would happen? Although they look exactly as they did when they left, they have no knowledge of where they were or why they were taken. Now some even have special powers, like clairvoyance. As with ABC's Lost, which centers on the survivors of a plane crash, The 4400 features a large cast of characters and a host of mysteries to be solved. If the special effects, which are kept to a minimum, can be a little cheesy at times, the concept--and the skillful execution of the concept--easily makes up for it.

Produced by Francis Ford... More Info about this DVD

Lost - The Complete First Season DVD

Along with Desperate Housewives, Lost was one of the two breakout shows in the fall of 2004. Mixing suspense and action with a sci-fi twist, it began with a thrilling pilot episode in which a jetliner traveling from Australia to Los Angeles crashes, leaving 48 survivors on an unidentified island with no sign of civilization or hope of imminent rescue. That may sound like Gilligan's Island meets Survivor, but Lost kept viewers tuning in every Wednesday night--and spending the rest of the week speculating on Web sites--with some irresistible hooks (not to mention the beautiful women). First, there's a huge ensemble cast of no fewer than 14 regular characters, and each episode fills in some of the back story on one of them. There's a doctor; an Iraqi... More Info about this DVD

Constantine (2-Disc Deluxe Edition with Comic Book) DVD

In the grand scheme of theological thrillers, Constantine aspires for the greatness of The Exorcist but ranks more closely with The Order. Based on the popular Hellblazer comic book series, and directed with nary a shred of intelligence by music video veteran Francis Lawrence, it's basically The Matrix with swarming demons instead of swarming machines. Keanu Reeves slightly modifies his Matrix persona as John Constantine, who roams the dark-spots of Los Angeles looking for good-evil, angel-devil half-breeds to ensure that "the balance" between God and Satan is properly maintained. An ancient artifact and the detective twin of a woman who committed evil-induced suicide (Rachel Weisz) factor into the plot, which is taken so seriously that you'll... More Info about this DVD

    Hostage DVD

You get two hostage crises for the price of one in Hostage, an overwrought but otherwise involving thriller grounded by Bruce Willis's solid lead performance. Making a dramatic pit-stop on his way to Die Hard 4, Willis plays a traumatized former Los Angeles hostage negotiator, now working as a nearly-divorced police chief in sleepy Ventura County, California. Willis suddenly finds himself amidst two potentially deadly stand-offs when a trio of hapless teenagers seize hostages in the fortress-like home of an accountant (Kevin Pollack) whose connections to organized crime result in Willis struggling to rescue his estranged wife and daughter, who are being held hostage by faceless thugs at an undisclosed location. Sin City DVD

Brutal and breathtaking, Sin City is Robert Rodriguez's stunningly realized vision of Frank Miller's pulpy comic books. In the first of three separate but loosely related stories, Marv (Mickey Rourke in heavy makeup) tries to track down the killers of a woman who ended up dead in his bed. In the second story, Dwight's (Clive Owen) attempt to defend a woman from a brutal abuser goes horribly wrong, and threatens to destroy the uneasy truce among the police, the mob, and the women of Old Town. Finally, an aging cop on his last day on the job (Bruce Willis) rescues a young girl from a kidnapper, but is himself thrown in jail. Years later, he has a chance to save her again.
