If you aren't one who faints at the sound of 10 million swear words (give or take a few), had a bad day and need to let off some steam, try this movie. It releases a lot of pent-up angst as you laugh along at AS's character and his *serious* anger management issues. And the scene with Bob Barker? Priceless!! Our family still talks about it years later, and since we borrowed it out and never got it back, I'm here at amazon buying it again. I don't do that with many movies. I almost decided to Netflix (rent) it, but I know we'll want to watch it whenever we want, so I'm springing for the DVD.
But don't watch it with younger kids who may go around imitating AS's angry mood swings. Wait until they can watch it & understand that it is funny because we just can't do those... More Info about this DVD DVD Release Date: Released the 23 August 2005 Usually ships in 24 hours

Alicia Silverstone won everyone over with her portrayal of a Beverly Hills teen, Cher, whose penchant for helping others with their relationships and self-esteem is a cover for her own loneliness. Director Amy Heckerling (Fast Times at Ridgemont High) made a smart, funny variation on Jane Austen's novel Emma, sweetly romantic and gently satirical of 90210 social manners. The cast is unbeatable: Dan Hedaya as Cher's rock-solid dad, Wallace Shawn as a geeky teacher, Paul Rudd as the boy who has always been Cher's surrogate brother--and the true holder of her most secret wishes. --Tom KeoghMore Info about this DVD Actor(s): Alicia Silverstone - Stacey Dash - Brittany Murphy - Paul Rudd Director(s): Amy Heckerling DVD Release Date: Released the 19 October 1999 This item is currently not available.

Adam Sandler is no Burt Reynolds, but his remake of The Longest Yard is amusing enough to stand on its own. Inheriting the role played by Reynolds played in the 1974 original, Sandler plays Paul Crewe, a scandalized former football star who violates his parole and winds up back in the slammer, where an ambitious, corrupt warden (James Cromwell) manipulates him into forming a convict football squad to compete with a team of bullying prison guards. But where the original (directed with characteristic ruggedness by Robert Aldrich) was a semi-comic study of inmate resistance against powerful oppressors, Sandler's version is a formulaic comedy about winning against the bad guys. That makes it a softer, less meaningful film, and Sandler (reuniting here with Peter Segal after Anger... Despite an abundance of gaping plot holes, White Noise serves up enough spooky atmosphere to make it worth a look-see for fans of supernatural thrillers. Even when hampered with a shoddy, clumsily written screenplay, Michael Keaton brings professional conviction to his role as a grieving widower who is introduced to the mysterious (and according to paranormal researchers, highly documented) existence of EVP, or Electronic Voice Phenomenon, which allows the dead to communicate (one-way only, it seems) from the great beyond, through images and voices recordable on a variety of electronic media such as VCRs, computers, etc. Seeking contact with his recently deceased wife, Keaton finds dire warnings of evil in the afterlife, with connections (all too convenient) to killings and...
