Review(s): DVD Baby Einstein - On the Go - Riding, Sailing and Soaring
    Early TV causes ADHD!

Children under the age of two should not watch TV, even "educational" DVDs like Baby Einstein.

It has been associated with the development of ADHD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity DIsorder) which leads to serious school problems, need for medication etc. It has also been connected with sleep disorders in children. This is the foundings of the American Association of Pediactrics (www.aap.org).

It's unnatural for an infants brain to be stimulated in the way a TV does.

It's not fun, it's not a babystitter, it can be doing your child harm.

    Fantastic toddler entertainment!

I am so impressed that Disney could come up with a video that was better than Baby McDonald which WAS my daughter's all time favorite, but she now has a new Baby Einstein that she loves just a little bit more!!! She was literally sitting on the edge of her chair while she watched Baby On the Go while alternately getting up and flying like a plane or make choo-choo noises or singing the verses she knows of Wheels on the Bus. I was surprised by how much she interacted versus some of the kid's shows were she just glazes over. So, not only is this entertaining, it is a great learning tool.

We have been incredibly impressed with the recent Baby Einstein videos that have come out in the past couple of years, and only let our daughter watch television once or twice a week. That said, the only thing she ever wants to watch is Baby McDonald, Baby Galileo, Baby Noah and now, Baby On the Go. I would recommend this to any and all moms, and in fact just bought two more as gifts. Well done, Disney!

    Once again, it's a hit!

My 17 month old son can't get enough of this DVD! From the first moment it was on, he was hooked. He now picks up the case and brings that one to me when he's chosing a movie. The puppets and the Wheels on the Bus segments are his favorite. Nothing stops an attack of the grumps like this one.

Baby Einstein - Baby Wordsworth - First Words - Around the House DVD

My child is 6 mos and so far this is his favorite BE show and sometimes the only thing that settles him. He's seen Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, and the Dr. Doolittle vids but thus far he's been really intrigued on all levels with this one only; I believe that's because he likes Matlin doing the signing and the many times children are on screen. The music in it is actually quite good for being, well, not hardcore orchestra as far as orchestras go. It also keeps me from wanting to rip my hair out from listening to it too much since, as I stated before, it can sometimes be the only that keeps him calm and distracted from the pains of teething. This video has also saved my arms and back from holding him for a consecutive 2 hrs a day as a result of one viewing keeping him interested in other... More Info about this DVD

Baby Einstein - Baby Monet - Discovering the Seasons DVD

My 14 month old has most of the Baby Einstein DVDs. This one has to be one of the one's he finds most engaging. It gives you a lot of DVD for your money with, in my opinion, the best bonus features of all the Baby Einstein DVDs. Even though only 14 months old, my son laughs hysterically at the puppets as if he really understands the humor! Along with Baby McDonald, this is our favorite. More Info about this DVD

Baby Einstein - Baby Noah - Animal Expedition DVD

The baby-to-toddler set gets an expedition through a variety of animal habitats across the planet in this installment of the Baby Einstein series. Despite the title, there is no real biblical connection to the material other than Noah's Ark toys and a few paintings (minus Noah and family). The subtitle "Animal Expedition" is far more accurate, as the 38-minute program takes the youngsters through the African savannah, rainforest, ocean, Australian Outback, and polar regions. As in its predecessors in the series, this one focuses on a few animals in each segment with repetition through toys, puppets and nature footage. Spoken words are minimal, but percussion and classical music (Beethhoven, Bizet, and Mozart, here) are maximized. (Ages 1 to 2) --Kimberly Heinrichs More Info about this DVD

Expressive faces and the exploration of arms, legs, and other body parts simply fascinate babies and toddlers. From Head to Toe focuses in on eyes, ears, hands, and other appendages with rapidly changing, close-up photography of real-life children alternating with puppetry, toys, animals, and sculptures and paintings by famous artists. Accompanying the vivid images are whimsical versions of classical pieces by famous composers like Bach, Handel, and Corelli, made kid-friendly by the "Music Box Orchestra," as well as the traditional "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes."
