Review(s): DVD The Jeffersons - The Complete Fourth Season
Love it, Love it, Love it!!!!!!!!!
"The Jeffersons' 4th Season" is soooo funny! This show may be old, but it I still love it. George is hilarious, I love the episode were he tells Whittendale off (Florences' Union) and any episide with Florence b/c she is smart and sassy, and when her and Geporge go at it, it's great!! Even if you've never seen this show before in your life, you will love it!! This is classic comedy and they do not make shows like this any more!
I WANNA BE WEEZIE JEFFERSON!!!! ONE CLASSY LADY!!!!
Thank you!Thank you! Columbia Tristar for not making me wait in vain for Season 4!!! Needless to say I was truly thrilled to get this dvd in my hands on October 11th, which was also my birthday!!! Eventhough I have alot of tv show on dvd sets, I always immediately watch the entire Jeffersons sets in record time, because it was truly one of the classic sitcoms that still make me laugh out loud!!! The packaging is great and the episodes have excellent picture and sound quality.
This show just gets better and better and the characters get funnier and funnier, especially Florence the maid! She was hilarious in the episode when she decided to join a union for Maids AKA "HouseHold Technichians"!!!
As the Jeffersons moved on up so did Louise Jefferson's hairstyles and wardrobe! She was really glammed up in better make-up, classier wigs, and fabulous clothes compared to previous seasons. Isabelle Sanford was and always will be a classy lady!!! Columbia Tristar keep em coming!!!
RIP to Momma Jefferson

...But I'm giving season four 4 stars, because there aren't any subtitles in this set. They also didn't have subtitles for season 3, but they did had subtitles for seasons 1 & 2. Strange, huh? However, the quality of the DVDs are fine and the episodes, of course, are wonderful to watch. At the end of this season the Meathead is supposed to graduate and move out for good, but he decides to stay with the Bunkers a little longer, so he can get his Masters degree.
There aren't any special features or anything in this DVD set, but as long as the episodes are uncut, I'm happy. If you're a fan of the show, this DVD set is a MUST-HAVE! More Info about this DVD Actor(s): Carroll O'Connor DVD Release Date: Released the 12 April 2005 Usually ships in 24 hours

I watched this show when it was on in the 70s and I've been a big fan. It just goes to show you that "there is nothing new under the sun...". The concerns and problems the Evans family dealt with then are mostly the same ones we have today. The surviving cast should do a reunion movie. Long before Bill Cosby started wearing his friendly sweaters, urban middle-class African Americans burst onto television in the form of Louise (better known as "Weezy") and George Jefferson, portrayed by Isabel Sanford and Sherman Hemsley. Spun off from All in the Family, The Jeffersons ran from 1975 to 1985, and it's easy to see what made the show so popular--Sanford and Hemsley were a knockout comic duo, surrounded by a skilled supporting cast that included the interracial couple Helen and Tom Willis (Roxie Roker and Franklin Cover), British expatriate Harry Bentley (Paul Benedict), as well as George's cantankerous mother Olivia (Zara Cully) and their snappy, cynical maid Florence (Marla Gibbs).

I own this DVD and I don't regret buying it. George is extremely hilarious and his mom is very unbearable to his wife, Louise. I might buy the other seasons to see more of the maid who has made so many cracks on George, it's unbelievable. It almost seemed like the acting got worse after every season. I'm really a big fan
of what's happening. There is a episode where Raj is singing a ballad which I found
really funny, because I never thought I would ever see Earnest Thomas (raj) sing a song
with so much sincerity. The third season is really corny, however, if you have
been a on going fan you will enjoy watching many of the episodes.....if you were
never a fan of what's happening! don't waste your money, or just buy the second
season (the best season) and call it a day. More Info about this DVD Actor(s): Ernest Thomas DVD Release Date: Released the 23 August 2005 Usually ships in 24 hours
