Review(s): DVD Mutant X - The Complete Third Season
Brain Candy
Many of the aspects of this show are complete crap. The dailogue sucks, the acting is terrible, the plot is unoriginal, and the "science" on which the entire thing is based is shaky at best. That said, I actually enjoyed Mutant X quite a bit. The special effects are pretty good, and it's always fun to watch people deflect bullets and fry bad guys with built in lasers. Also, Brennan and Jesse are totally hot and frequently wander around without their shirts on. The best thing by far about the third season is that stupid Adam and Emma get killed off. They were really starting to annoy me. Adam kept acting like some kind of fake Jedi knockoff (Control your anger Shalimar! The power is inside of you!) and dropping dark hints about secret plots and incredible danger that he refused to explain to the other characters. Emma was just a whiny empath. She was continually "feeling other people's pain" and saying things like "I can see into your soul. Let me help you." I was so glad when they both got replaced by Lexa, who has an incredibly bad attitude and appears to be addicted to eyeliner and leather corsets.
This show is perfect if you need forty or so minutes of mindless fluff to watch while you unwind from a stressful day, but I'd recommend watching it without the sound off so you can't hear the horrible sci-fi cliches coming out of the character's mouths.
Mutant X does it again!
There was a huge movement and after a huge fight, the Mutant X Fandom finally made sure that the third Season was out on DVD and it was definitly well worth the fight we put up.This show just gets better and better every season. Despite the absence of Emma DeLauro (Lauren Lee Smith) the very capable and edgy Lexa Pierce (Karen Cliche) adds a new twist to an already wonderful show.Though she is no Emma many fans immediately warmed up to her and with good reason. She shares a great chemistry witht he other three members of the cast, all of whom seemed to know there characters like anything.
The plot is brilliant.Every episode has amazing twists and turns. And as well as the main storyline and action, every episode the viewers are treated to a new secret about each of the four main characters. So every episode as we reach the climax, we also get closer to the heart of Brennan, Jesse, Lexa and Shalimar.
The only thing I missed was Adam's prescence.John Shea played the part wonderfully, an his guest appearances brought back the old feelings from season one.
This is one any sci-fi /fantasy fan with any taste has to buy.
Mutant X Lives!
Awesome Show!
Season 3 is by far the best season Mutant X has ever had. It's not always the same story, save a mutant put them in the underground. Things aren't always so cut and dry this season. Plus the cast is amazing. Karen Cliche joins up this season as Lexa Pierce. She adds so much chemistry to the group and the relationships are very interesting to watch. If you are a true MX fan you have to have this DVD!

This show has engaging, non stereotypical characters and combines fantasy with sci-fi ; magic with technology; superpowers with human weaknesses and more. The martial arts sequesnces are stunning , especially for a rookie company with not a lot of money to spend. Its a shame that it was cancelled, which just goes to show that nowadays networks aren't willing to spend on shows... Charmed: The Complete Second Season finds San Francisco's favorite and fetching trio of witches, the Halliwell sisters, still battling supernatural forces while trying to make sense of their tricky personal lives. It has been a year since Prue (Shannen Doherty), Phoebe (Alyssan Milano), and Piper (Holly Marie Combs), were each endowed with a unique, magical ability after discovering the Book of Shadows in their attic, and while Phoebe and Piper are in the mood for celebrating, Prue is emotionally incapable of using her telekinetic gifts. Powerless to have saved her ex-lover, Andy Trudeau (Ted King), from death in season 1, Prue's grief prevents her from cooperating with her sisters in a battle against a demon who steals the all-important Book.
The arrival of another gorgeous young woman with the initials of LL further complicates Clark Kent's (Tom Welling) life in the fourth season of Smallville, the WB's hip and sexy reinvention of the Superman legend. In this case, it's Lois Lane (Erica Durance), a would-be college freshman who's come to the Kansas heartland to investigate the disappearance of her cousin, Chloe. What she discovers instead is a naked, amnesiac Clark Kent in a cornfield, and things take off from there. Durance doesn't appear in every episode--she was credited as a "special guest star"--but her tough spirit and crackling wit provide a great, non-romantic foil to Clark.
That's just as well, because there's plenty of romantic triangulation--or worse--going on. Clark's former love interest--and... More Info about this DVD DVD Release Date: Released the 13 September 2005 Usually ships in 24 hours
