The plot is a little weird, but the energy of the film and the music is wonderful! I wish there had been more! It seems that alot of songs got snippets of camera time while others got a whole segment. I hope that all these concerts have been recorded proper-like. Maybe one day we'll get some live recordings! Especially of the songs that were never released!
Great movie from the greatest pop group ever!!
This is a great movie and the music is superb. But I don't understand why in United States it will be released until 2010. We already have it here in México... That's odd...
Warner vs.Universal dispute halted U.S.A. DVD release.Buy Canadian disc!!
Although Universal Music now owns ABBA's production company "Polar Music AB",and is the rightful owner of the worldwide rights to ABBA's audio & video back catalogue,Warner Home Video announced(and probably manufactured) and then had to cancel an August U.S.A. release for "ABBA:The Movie".Warner's claim to the U.S.A. rights resides with a long-expired 1987 license from Polar Music to MGM/UA Home Video, another Time-Warner company(A license which was never used in the U.S.A.);a license which probably had expired in the 1990's.Now they want to be a thorn in the side and try to block the U.S.A. release by Universal Music, though Warner Home Video hasn't got a legal leg to stand on.Warner Home Video will ultimately have to melt down the discs that they pressed and can't legally sell.Only the Universal Music release has been endorsed and supervised by ABBA,and taken from first generation audio and (restored)film elements. Thanks to Warner Home Video's stupid stance,I'll eventually go to Amazon's Canadian website and buy the Canadian disc...paying five dollars more(plus shipping) than the indefinitely halted Universal Music American release would have cost.Maybe Amazon.com could do the fans a favor and put the Canadian import onto their U.S.A. website, just like they did for several Pet Shop Boys DVD's,when legal problems between Capitol,Sanctuary& Time-Warner made Capitol's U.S.A. releases impossible, and turned the EMI/Canada releases into the defacto U.S.A. discs.UPDATE:I went to Amazon's Canadian affiliate,Amazon.ca, and ordered the Canadian DVD.

I love ABBA. I have all their dvds available. I brought "ABBA In Concert" last Christmas but haven't found the time to review it until this morning. What can I tell you about this 25 year old tape? Well, let me just say that the perfromances are nothing short of excellent. The remastering job is superb, both visually as well as audio. You feel, for the mos part, like you're at the concert. However, there's one porblem: too much documentary, not enough concert. I was hoping we'd get a full concert rather than a few complete performances and a ton of documentary footage. So while I do recommend this dvd, keep in mind it isn't a complete concert dvd. More Info about this DVD DVD Release Date: Released the 08 June 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours

For those who love Abba (and if you're reading this, chances are you do, even if you don't know it yet), Abba: The Definitive Collection represents a happy, joyous compilation of the Swedish supergroup's numerous videos. Granted, they all seem to have been filmed on the same soundstage (even the firelit "Fernando"), but they retain their appeal and infectious charm. Fans can thrill to these vintage clips, which provide an opportunity to rediscover who was the most natural in front of the camera (Agnetha), who was the best dancer (Anna-Frid, a.k.a. Frida), who was the most demure (Benny), and who was the worst lip-syncher (Bjorn--always Bjorn). Lassé Hallstrom, later an Oscar®-nominated filmmaker, directed most of the early videos, and it shows in their... The Winner Takes It All: The Abba Story reflects the peaks and valleys of the Swedish supergroup's popularity over the decades, as well as the quartet's turbulent years together. The documentary successfully manages to piece together both the group's public and private sides through the use of interview excerpts and video footage, and it also contains exclusive interviews with all four members of Abba for the first time since their split. Reflecting on the intricate nature of their music, as well as the elevation of their compositions to the heady heights of pop classics, the documentary concludes with behind-the-scenes footage of preparations for the Abba-inspired stage show Mamma Mia! This is a must for all Abba fans, as well as those wishing to discover the heritage of... Olivia Newton-John: Video Gold 1 kicks off its anthology of 19 music videos with three shorts spun from Newton-John's 1979 Totally Hot album. "Deeper Than the Night," "A Little More Love," and "Totally Hot," all directed by Alan Metter, are buoyant mini-productions. The first two are anchored by scenes of Newton-John singing in the studio and posing for publicity shots, the last video more playful as the smashing blonde turns heads on the street and dances with a hunky fellow cast as a shutterbug. The next 13 shorts, amazingly, were originally included on the video collection Physical; 10 of those are tied to tracks on Newton-John's 1981 album of the same name. (Among the other three is a post-Grease take on Newton-John's hit from that movie, "Hopelessly...
