Love this video. Had so much fun watching it with my kids. Lots of songs to sing and dance to. Very cute!
Chimpmunk adventure
When this movie was first released in 1987 I was amazed at the art work and how it gave the characters a special charm. I enjoyed it very much and could not wait for it to come out on DVD. Alas thinking they could improve it they had to go and digitaly remaster the thing. Now the colors are brighter and the film seems to be a bit jerky at times. The characters are too
cartoony. The lack of the warmer colors diminish the original quailty of the film. I waited along time only to be disappointed.
For a first time viewer this movie will still have alot of charm and you and your kids will love it. I give the original version a 5 STAR rating. The DVD only a 3. I will be looking to buy a vhs version with the original art work and magic that I enjoyed prior to remastering.
Childhood Memories Resurrected
I LOVED this movie as a child. I rented it every time I went to the movie store until my parents started telling me no. I was so excited to find it and even more excited to find that I like it just as much now.
I would reccommend this movie to anyone who was a Chipmuncks fan and even people who just loved 80s cartoons.
In my opinion, the best part of the movie is the "sing off" between the chipmuncks and chipettes. The song came back to me in no time.

I loved the movie "The Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein", the most, and the songs that the Chipmunks sang !

We bought this DVD mainly for Kiersten(our three year old granddaughter)to watch.We were not planning on watching it till closer to Christmas but she found it and HAD to watch it.It is 66 minutes long.There are three episodes.A Chipmunk Christmas is about Alvin giving his prized harmonica to a sick little boy,but Dave has booked them to play on Christmas Eve at Carnegie Hall and now Alvin has no harmonica.If I tell anymore,it'll ruin the surprise,so just watch this one.Merry Christmas Mr.Carroll is about a VERY GREEDY Alvin who is visted by three Christmas ghosts,PAST,PRESENT and FUTURE played by Dave,Theodore and Simon.Kiersten asked why Dave(who plays Ghost of Christmas Past)looked so grouchy.Dave's Wonderful Life is not a holiday episode as it takes place in the summer on this DVD,but...
