Review(s): DVD The Dukes of Hazzard - The Complete Sixth Season
Lulu takes the wheel, and more!

Wowzers, Lulu Hogg driving the General Lee in "Lulu's Gone Away"! That is soooo fun! Then James Best gets to show his range in "Too Many Roscos," and the various Roscos are shuffled around so much you barely know which one is which. His daughter Janeen shows up as Mary Lou in "A Baby for the Dukes." Boss and Rosco do a drag-thang in "Targets: Daisy and Lulu." And holy cow -- we get to meet Cooter's daughter! Cooter shows his true colors all through the series, but in this one he really shines. The lovely Lydia Cornell of "Too Close for Comfort" guest-stars in the two-parter "Undercover Dukes." Luke's baby brother Jud Kane and his former flame Candy Dix also show up this season. Rapidly regaining momentum after reinstating its two main stars, "The Dukes" rolled in top form in Season 6.

    Where's the subtitles?

Great series but what happened to the English Subtitles which were present on seasons 1-5? Also it's a pity Warner Brothers went back to double sided discs.

    Speedy recovery....

Like many of you out there (who are approaching the age of 40), I have not seen these sixth season episodes since they originally aired. And also, like many of you, I agree that The Dukes of Hazzard sixth season is among the best, if not the best, of the series entire run. For me personally, the Dukes sixth season is in a tie with thier second season, for my most favorite of the entire series. I also agree that the episodes featured this season are more suspensful, sometimes "edgy", and intriuging. But don't let that turn some of you away....the show still retains it's trademark humor, there's still plenty of the usual car chases, classic General Lee jumps, and the amusing banter between Boss Hogg and the Duke family. My personal favorite episode for the sixth season is "Undercover Dukes." It's a two-part episode, that was probably made for sweeps week that season. The episode centers around Bo and Luke going "under cover" for Uncle Sam, by going back to the NASCAR circuit, to get the goods on a mob boss. This is one of those more suspensful episodes, but also still has the Dukes humor, car chases, etc. The acting (from all the players) is in top-notch form in this episode. All in all, the sixth season was more than a few steps above season five. I anxiously await the seventh (and final) season....

The final season isn't as strong as the other seasons, but it has a good share of episodes. The only episode that was kind of all right was the "strange visitor to Hazzard" (I guess they were trying to get style points for having an alien invade hazzard.). Other than that, I'm happy to finally have all seven seasons of the dukes that I can watch over and over without commercials.

In the final season, toy models of each of the cars/vans were used for the jumps and other stunt sequences. Most of the real "General Lee" jumps were taken from the fourth, fifth & sixth seasons, with the exception of "Dukes in Hollywood", where they used the real Charger for a jump scene, and also "Danger on the Hazzard Express", although it was a small jump. The stunts with the toy models were done... More Info about this DVD

Dukes of Hazzard - The Complete Fifth Season DVD

I am a big fan of The Dukes of Hazzard, and just because we see some new Duke cousins, dosen't mean it's going to be horrible. Some people may hate Coy and Vance, but it's not their fault, it's Bo and Luke's fault for leaving. Yeeeeeehaaaa!!!! for Coy and Vance More Info about this DVD

The Dukes of Hazzard - The Complete Fourth Season DVD

The Dukes of Hazzard: The Complete Fourth Season finds the redneck comedy down to a fine science almost comforting in its predictability. Cousins Bo (John Schneider) and Luke (Tom Wopat) still raise hell with the General Lee in rural Hazzard County (and still have no visible means of financial support). Daisy Duke (Catherine Bach) is still the picture of wildflower innocence despite her tomboyish temper and barely legal short-shorts. Uncle Jesse Duke (Denver Pyle) still basks in righteous anger at longtime enemy (and fellow former moonshiner) Jefferson Davis "Boss" Hogg (Sorrell Booke), the latter an unrepentant schemer for whom every living thing seems an obstacle in his quest for vast (and unethically acquired) wealth. As sure as the sun rises every day, any scene involving Boss... More Info about this DVD
