Review(s): DVD JAG (Judge Advocate General) - The Complete First Season
    We have been waiting....

for a really, really long time for this series. I loved the first season at once. Found Andrea Parker and Tracey Needham marvellous, the friendly bantering between Harm and Mag, and so on...
Just a small remark: I was kind of disappointed a little by the interview with D.J.Elliott he was so badly lit, looks like he'd wear a female wig. Pitty for quite the most handsome actor in the series.

    disappointed

Let's see, 52 weeks a year, given summer reruns there should be 36 episodes, so why is the 'complete first season' only 21 episodes (don't remember there being that many)? Also, the last one was a two parter - where's the second half (not in the second season whish was not a given in the first year)?

Finally...we can watch JAG on DVD

Missed the first few seasons of JAG. Surprised to enjoy Tracey Needham's part after loving Catherine Bell in the role. While the episodes aren't as good as later JAG seasons...love seeing the familiar faces that become regulars. Sorry to lose Tracey...loving DJE.

NCIS Naval Criminal Investigative Service - The Complete First Season DVD

Equal parts JAG and C.S.I., NCIS does a formidable job of blending relevant military headlines with quirky characters who are tenaciously determined to solve a crime--even if it means having to sleep in the morgue to get a few minutes of shut eye. Created by Donald P. Bellisario (JAG, Quantum Leap), NCIS actually began as a two-part episode of JAG in 2003. Later that year, the drama made its full-season debut on CBS. On this six-disc set, which includes all 23 non-JAG episodes plus optional commentary by Bellisario on the first episode, viewers are introduced to an elite squad of special agents, led by Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). Gibbs is a hard-nosed investigator who doesn't say much. But when he does, an insult usually comes... More Info about this DVD

NCIS Naval Criminal Investigative Service - The Complete Second Season DVD

Yeah, I could have said "hinky" and that fits, too. NCIS matches excellent, realistic forensics with a gritty police drama. The show is thoroughly enjoyable in the first run and worth buying as a DVD to enjoy again. More Info about this DVD

Numb3rs - The Complete First Season DVD

"Everything is numbers," states Charlie Eppes (David Krumholtz) in the pilot of Numb3rs, a satisfying (and educational!) new crime drama. Executive-produced by brothers/film directors Ridley Scott (Gladiator) and Tony Scott (Top Gun), it's like CSI with algorithms and probabilities instead of blood spatter and DNA swabs, which separates it from the slew of gruesome forensics-centered cop shows currently on the air. In this case, it's a brains-vs.-brawn matchup: a brilliant math professor (Krumholtz) consulting on crimes for an FBI agent (Rob Morrow) who happens to be his older brother. While Don, Morrow's character, busts the baddies with his team of agents, Charlie's scribbling formulas on chalkboards and statistically deducting a rapist's next target... More Info about this DVD
