DVD One Tree Hill - The Complete Third Season
The third season of the WB's small town soap begins with the blaze that ended the second ("Like You like an Arsonist"). Dan (Paul Johannson) makes it out alive, but vows to seek vengeance on the perpetrator--even if that person happens to be estranged son Lucas (Chad Michael Murray). In the following episode ("From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea"), Dan's preferred offspring returns to Tree Hill. Will Nathan (James Lafferty) reconcile with wife Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti)? It's her deepest desire, but Nathan has his doubts. Further changes are afoot. Haley and Brooke (Sophia Bush), for instance, move in together...which wouldn't seem so strange if they were in college rather than high school. Brooke and Lucas also try a "non-exclusive" arrangement (her idea, not his). When sexy schemer Rachel (Danneel Harris) joins the cheerleading squad, Brooke starts to regret her decision. Meanwhile, the delightfully odious Dan runs for mayor. Just when he thinks he's got it locked, Lucass mom, Karen (Moira Kelly), throws her hat in the ring. But those developments are minor compared to the school shooting in episode 16 ("With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept").
Guest stars include Nada Surf ("Return of the Future") and season two favorites Fall Out Boy ("An Attempt to Tip the Scales"), while recurring characters include Peyton's birth mother Ellie (Sheryl Lee, Twin Peaks), and smug singer/songwriter Chris (Tyler Hilton, Walk the Line), with whom Haley collaborates again. As in the previous year, the finale ("The Show Must Go On") is a cliffhanger. Fortunately for fans, One Tree Hill was picked up by the CW, so resolution awaits in season four. Special features include commentary, deleted scenes, and a featurette about the making of "With Tired Eyes." --Kathleen C. Fennessy
Review(s): DVD One Tree Hill - The Complete Third Season
TV doesn't get much better than this...
Again, I was amazed that the writers could improve upon season 1 and 2. While so many other shows feature repetitive story lines, one tree hill continues to create drama that is refreshingly original. I particauarly enjoyed watching the relationships between Nathan and Haley and Brooke and Lucas redevelop. The school shooting was painfully real and an accurate depiction of the emotion involved in times of tragedy. I also like that the writers balance the drama with a bit of light comedy- it makes it far more enjoyable. The music and quotations are fantastic! Myone criticism however would have to be the lack of interesting bonus features.. definately something that could be improved for next season. THIS IS A MUST BUY DVD!
Great Buy, Great Story, Highly Recommend
I like this season because it has moved out of the developing storyline and gone into conflicting with each other with two of the best twist in a show ever!!
One Tree Hill - STILL Going Strong!
I'm an absolutely huge fan of One Tree Hill so it really is hard for me to be critical. Infact i can't so i won't even try. Season 3 is fantastic and a pure sign of great things to come. And what a cliffhanger! Who is going to survive? That is the greatest thing about One Tree Hill, it's unpredictability. Season 3 provided so many things, such as the school shooting and Keith's death, that we could never have expected.
This Season 3 DVD box set is a must have for all One Tree Hill fans. With six discs full of all the great episodes and plenty of special features, no fan could go wrong! Buy it today, you will not regret it!

One Tree Hill: The Complete Second Season finds life in an uproar for virtually every major and minor character in the WB series set in One Tree, North Carolina. Basketball sensation Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray), illegitimate son of One Tree Hill's resident J.R.-like figure, car dealer, and all-around monster Dan Scott (Paul Johansson), has left town with his Uncle Keith (Craig Sheffer) to start a new life. (Keith himself has split One Tree to nurse a broken heart after his marriage proposal to Lucas's mom, Karen, played by Moira Kelly, was rejected.) It's not long, however, before Lucas has second thoughts, prompted in part by Dan's recent heart attack and the mess he (Lucas) left behind with two girls, Peyton (Hilarie Burton) and Brooke (Sophia Bush). Meanwhile,... One Tree Hill: The Complete First Season marks the beginning of a genuinely engrossing series that maintains, for a long while, an unusual focus on a single, powerful conflict defining the destinies of two characters. Adolescent half-brothers Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan (James Lafferty) Scott have lived parallel lives in One Tree, North Carolina. They share a common father, Dan Scott (Paul Johansson), who has disregarded the existence of Lucas, his son by a one-time flame, Karen (Moira Kelly), whom he dumped years before to accept a basketball scholarship to college. While neglecting Lucas, Dan--whose hoop dreams never materialized--has spent his time almost perversely micro-managing every one of Nathan's moves on and off the court at his old high school, where the lad... Okay, so season three of my favorite primetime soap opera, The O.C., wasn't nearly up to snuff with the spectacular first season and the slightly less spectacular second season. But, despite that, I still tuned in every Thursday night and when the DVDs were released, I bought them and relived the season again.
While the third season was a bit of a letdown in a number of ways, I will say that a month into the fourth season, The O.C. has regained its form and is shining. It's just too bad that it is up against the two strongest shows on television, CSI and Grey's Anatomy. Despite all that, season four is looking to be the best season since the phenomenal first season.
My opinion on why the third season was a bit of a letdown is the fact that creator Josh Schwartz... More Info about this DVD DVD Release Date: Released the 24 October 2006 Usually ships in 24 hours

The rapid-paced banter between the mother-daughter team of Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) is the calling card for Gilmore Girls. The show's sixth year--which aired during the 2005-2006 TV season--remains witty, charming, and touching. The previous season left Yale undergrad Rory in trouble with the law after a night of very un-Gilmore-like behavior with her rich, handsome boyfriend Logan (Matt Czuchry). This season opens with Rory potentially facing jail time, undecided about returning to college, and--most disturbingly of all--fighting with her mother. This isn't a fight over who gets to eat the last egg roll, but rather a battle of wills. It will take a few episodes before the two are talking to each other again and the viewer can breathe a sigh of...
