Review(s): DVD Adventures of Superman - The Complete Fifth and Sixth Seasons
Husband watches ONE of the SIX seasons EVERY NIGHT!

The entire set were birthday presents for my husband and he is in "hog heaven!" I guess as we get older, we miss the really GOOD programming we watched as children!
George Reeve is the ONE, the ONLY Superman--FOREVER!!!!!

5th &6th Last but not Least

The 5th and 6th seasons completes the total package of the George Reeves saga. I wish there were more maybe "lost episodes." The story lines were funnier but to see them in order of there orginal broadcast was fantastic. I was hoping for them to include the I Love Love Lucy episode!!! But I can't ask for everything! At times the print quality was washed out but it is still better than when I first viewed them on a B&W TV in the early 1960's . I highly recommend the entire 6 seasons.

    SUPERMAN'S FINAL SEASONS:STILL SUPER FUN!

The final two seasons of the Adventures of Superman are timeless fun for all who admired the talents of George Reeves and the rest of the cast. It is too bad that Reeves passed on right after the series. Thanks to these DVD's his spirit continues into the 21st century capturing a new legion of fans. I enjoyed the episode he directed. Only one funny moment out of the episodes. If you watch The Man Who Made Dreams Come True, the king was told to drive the car backwards at 10 o'clock at night. The king is actually driving the car in broad daylight!!!! I thought this was a well put together collection of Superman classics. THANKS WARNER HOME VIDEO FOR MAKING THE FANS OF THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN DREAMS COME TRUE WITH THE WRAP UP TO THIS WONDERFUL COLLECTION!!

Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman - The Complete Fourth Season DVD

You know, I really had no problem with Lois and Clark getting together. This started with the season 3 premiere, and, like the overall series itself, was handled with a light touch. But after waiting for the wedding (and being led on by the regrettable "on again/off again" story arc in the previous season), the Big Moment was really a letdown. I won't spoil the details for those who haven't seen it, but I think only the most undemanding of fans will be satisfied by the route the writers take.

The rest of Season 4 is decidedly hit and miss. Howie Mandel makes for a fun Myxzptlk, sending Metropolis into an eerie time loop at Christmastime. And the resolution to last season's Kryptonian story arc is a treat, as super-powered villains lay waste to Smallville. On the... More Info about this DVD

Perry Mason - Season 1, Vol. 2 DVD

What a treat to see high quality un-cut Perry Mason episodes on DVD. The show has been in syndication for years but you have been watching cut up versions so more commercials could be shown. Now you can enjoy the full length of 52 minutes that each Perry Mason episode lasted.

Each episode you see Perry Mason defending his clients rights to the fullest with zeal and uses his sharp wit to fluster those who would do his client harm. In episode "The Case of the One-Eyed Witness" look for a young Angie Dickinson. More Info about this DVD

Mission Impossible - The Complete First Season DVD

I received my copy of the DVDs last week and love every moment as I watch every show. The color and sound were good. Though no special features on these DVDs for those who like that kind of thing. In this first season you see Mr Briggs (Steven Hill) as the Mission Leader. He did a great job as Mission Leader. Also, another interesting note is that the tape recorder wasn't the only method use to give the mission brief at the beginning.

This is a must see for any fan on the Mission Impossible TV Series.

I wonder if we shall see the other seasons anytime soon? Nothing on the radar screen. More Info about this DVD
