OMFG!!! THE NEW DVD FROM SELLOUTICA!!!

omigod, like, 20 years ago, metallica promised they'd never make a stupid video then they had to go and SELL OUT by cutting their hair and farting in my milk. avoid dis release and get the new SUBSTANCE-LESS METAL BAND WITH "EVIL" GROWL VOCALS album instead!!!

    Just kidding.

For those of you no longer living in 1988 (including the former fanboys who weren't even alive in 1988), this DVD is a great way to expand your Metallica collection. Every video since they started making videos until the present day; exactly what you'd expect. How can you go wrong? A great buy at a reasonable price.

    Long in the Tooth

Metallia: The Garage Band that won't go away. Like most old rock and roll bands that loose the edge, out comes the videos next concert footage and the endless Great Hits CD's volumes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, , , , , . Nice stocking stuffer for the head banger in your life.

    Hero of the Day

It's about damn time. For years, fans have been asking for this. Conspiciously just in time for Christmas, I see. Well, what do we have here? The bonus features are negligible, but I doubt too many people are looking beyond the 21 videos here. From "One" all the way up to "Some Kind of Monster", they're here. Even the rare "Hero of the Day" and "Mama Said" vids are here. I'm personally happy to finally have a hard copy of the vids for "Until It Sleeps", and "The Unforgiven II". At $14.99, it's a bargain too. Not too many DVDs are under $20 upon first release, so if you're a Metallica fan and always wanted a video collection, here you go.

Metallica: Year and A Half Parts 1 & 2 DVD

Being a Metallica fan, I did rather enjoy this trinket of Metal Music History. The early 90's proved to be a crucial time for Metallica as documented in this movie. The turning point of Metallica's "Black Album" and the touring that followed helped the band to procure a seat (the number one seat) on the Rock/Metal charts.

Watching the production/recording of the album, the marriage of sonic producer Bob Rock helping out, and a bunch of roudy 20-something world-class rockers is pure entertainment. Their haughty self-importance is hard to take at times (see Lars), but definitely sheer entertainment. The live footage of the band across world venues is worth the price alone. It shows how much of a live band they really are. Also included are their videos from the album,... More Info about this DVD

Metallica - S & M with the San Francisco Symphony DVD

There's little doubt that this two-volume concert and documentary package will appeal to die-hard Metallica lovers--given its more than three-hour length (two and a half for the concert segment alone), the band's predominantly white male fan base (repeatedly addressed as "man" by singer-guitarist James Hetfield) will be--in fact already are--ecstatic. But one wonders, especially given the erratic history of rock-cum-orchestra experiments, whether S&M will win Metallica any new aficionados. The fact is that the presence of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, conducted by composer Michael Kamen, adds texture but not much else of significance to the Metallica sound. The band is so loud that it tends to overwhelm even a 100-plus member orchestra; what's more, Metallica's... More Info about this DVD

    Kiss - Kissology - Volume 1 (1974-1977) DVD

The footage released in this 2 DVD package only shows the world what the real KISS was all about. The most striking thing about it all is how great Peter Criss was in his prime. At times, you almost feel you're watching an entirely different Peter, one you've never seen before. From the Long Beach footage till the end, he shines as we really know Paul, Ace and Gene pretty much and have seen their antics many times. Its really sad that Paul and Gene decided NOT to include BETH from the Paul Lynde Show, apart from the fact that Paul mentions it in the linear notes of the DVD. They were jealous of the success of BETH, no doubt, and this proves it. I'm sure Peter will gain new respect from KISS fans who watch this DVD. Long Live PETER CRISS. More Info about this DVD

    Skin and Bones DVD

The LA acoustic disc is fantastic and does include 5 more songs than the cd, however, both the cd and dvd still missed off Miracle, Virginia Moon and Floaty. All amazing songs particularly Floaty where Petra Haden (violinist) takes lead vocals. I saw the London Victoria Apollo gig and she was outstanding so why they cut this song is beyond me. Overall though the LA gig is very enjoyable and sounds great.

I notice Amazon don't have a track listing so here it is:

    1. Intro (Awesome!)
    2. Razor
    3. Over And Out
    4. On The Mend
    5. Walking After You
