    "It's like a dream isn't it?"

"It's like a dream isn't?" "No, better." Lucky young Eric and his sister Ellie.

It was love at first site for me. From the very beginning this show made me cry and laugh and think and love and believe. It touched my heart. It had made poetry sexy, especially when read by Vincent. I always thought I was alone in my appreciation of this wonderful series. I see I was wrong. When I tuned in every Friday night, the world of Catherine and Vincent made the implausible seem possible.

Catherine and Vincent, two soulmates destined to meet but, unable to ever be together. He had no place in her world and she had none in his.
In Vincent's underground world, there were places like the Crystal Cavern, that spectacular waterfall, the Great Hall where Winter Fest was held, the reflecting pool where you could get an astronomy lesson. Who could regret growing up in so magical and awe inspiring a world? But more importantly were the people who inhabited this secret world.

Surely, there must be such a world beneath the streets of New York City... Where wonderful characters like Father, and Mouse, and Pascal, Narcissa, Eric and Ellie, not to mention Vincent...live. And Peracelcus, evil personified with a cultured Shakespearian voice. You had to love him. He made you want to kill him, what's not to love?

In Catherine's world there were places like Broadway, Lincoln Center, Central Park, The Empire State Building. Who could regret growing up in so magical and awe inspiring a world?

And those who lived in Catherine's world. Like, Joe Maxwell, friend and champion, he never had a clue. But he loved Catherine too. Elliot Burch, Catherine's persistant would-be suitor, he was wealthy, he was handsome, he was powerful, and yet.....he wasn't Vincent. And all the other quirky wonderful characters who made up the world above, the world of Catherine Chandler.

I recorded all the episodes. (Somehow I knew something this good was bound to end way too soon. And it did.) And, like old friends I drop in periodically and see how they are doing. My old friends are well, my old VHS tapes not so well. I hope seasons 2 and 3 are not far behind.

I have been doing the happy dance since I learned of this release. If you're an old fan buy the DVD set, if you're a new fan buy the DVD set. You won't regret it and you'll be waiting for seasons 2&3 like the rest of us. (I hope it doesn't take years.)

Season One on DVD in DOLBY DIGITAL MONO 2.0 ??????

Wow, I put this "Never Gonna See It On DVD" Release up there with MAX HEADROOM, and now, here it is! What really scare me of course, is the details of the set indicate that it will be DOLBY DIGITAL MONO 2.0??!?!?!? This series was presented (when it aired) in CBS StereoSurround! The stereo surround was always great on this show, so why WHY WHY is it being released in mono? I hope its an oversight or error. Here' hoping and its about time this set has come out!

    Greatest Love Story Ever Told

Oh, my God!! I thought I was in heaven to get the CD of the music and poetry from Beauty and the Beast. But now---! I remember searching everywhere for the love song from the show, only to be disappointed over, and over. Also remember reading comments from so many other fans asking WHEN!!!are we going to get this great story on DVD? Well, people, it has been a long wait, but patience and tenacity win the day!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Emma Killingbeck

Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman - The Complete Fourth Season DVD

You know, I really had no problem with Lois and Clark getting together. This started with the season 3 premiere, and, like the overall series itself, was handled with a light touch. But after waiting for the wedding (and being led on by the regrettable "on again/off again" story arc in the previous season), the Big Moment was really a letdown. I won't spoil the details for those who haven't seen it, but I think only the most undemanding of fans will be satisfied by the route the writers take.

The rest of Season 4 is decidedly hit and miss. Howie Mandel makes for a fun Myxzptlk, sending Metropolis into an eerie time loop at Christmastime. And the resolution to last season's Kryptonian story arc is a treat, as super-powered villains lay waste to Smallville. On the... More Info about this DVD

Charmed - The Complete Seventh Season DVD

While this may not be the BEST Season of Charmed, it definitally is up in the top 3.... The only regret that I have is that, like all the other Season released so far, there won't be extra's on it.... It looks like we'll have to wait for the 8th and final Season to be released to get those.... Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for that.... More Info about this DVD

Bones - The Complete 1st Season DVD

David Boreanaz (Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) stars as F.B.I. Agent Seeley Booth, who teams up with forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) to solve some of the most baffling and bizarre crimes ever. Booth depends on clues from the living, witnesses and suspects, while Brennan gathers evidence from the dead, relying on her uncanny ability to read clues left behind in the bones of the victims. Their different investigative styles cause the two to frequently clash, creating an undeniable chemistry and just the right touch of dark humor. Inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs and state-of-the-art criminal investigation procedures, Bones is a compelling, cutting edge television.
