Thanks to Dana Brown's delightful Step Into Liquid, the surfing scene in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, should get a healthy boost. That's because Brown, in the tradition of his father, filmmaker Bruce Brown (The Endless Summer), has captured dazzling images of surfers riding curls in some of the world's most exotic--and sometimes unlikely--places. Besides the action on Lake Michigan, Brown leads us to Costa Rica, where the sport's senior elite (including Summer star Robert August) prove they still have the moves, and Oahu's North Shore, where the legendary Pipeline inspires this quote: "It's so scary, maybe you die a little." Most entertaining is a segment in County Donegal, where the American Malloy brothers startle the locals and meet their Irish counterparts on the grayest... Learn More

I realize that many people thought this movie was funny. And I agree, some parts were funny.
However, I forced myself to watch this movie just because I wanted to know what all the hype was about, and I really don't think the movie was anything to build up. I'm still amazed that I sat through the whole thing.
The movie plays on stereotypes, which does not represent the community as a whole. I don't think I would ever want a straight friend of mine to see this movie because it so clearly feeds on the assumptions that build the deep-rooted hate that still exists in our society. This movie left NOTHING to the imagination, and seemed to not be a movie, but instead an expression of "how far can the gays push the envelope."
Honestly, there were times... More Info About This DVD Director(s): Todd Stephens DVD Release Date: Released the 21 November 2006 Usually ships in 24 hours

I am a huge Match Game fan and love any version of the show. That being said, I totally agree with some of the other reviewers that the set should have included more shows from the '74 to '77 era. There was really alot of zany stuff that went on in the panel during those shows, making them the best ones in my opinion. The later episodes '78-'81 which alot of the shows are from on this set, are way too edited and you don't get the interaction within the panel like you do in the older episodes. Honestly, that's what made MG good. The fact that the panel interactions were edited in the later years make those shows slightly less than great. Really, I watch MG to hear the "arguments" between Brett and Charles or Brett and Fannie or Betty. That's what makes for good tv.
That being... More Info About This DVD Director(s): Marc Breslow DVD Release Date: Released the 21 November 2006 Usually ships in 24 hours

I used to watch this show when I was a kid, and it taught me to read when I was 3. By the time I was in kindergarten I was reading at an 8th grade level, and I attribute that GREATLY to this show. This video, available in both VHS (listed by the director, Bill Myers) and DVD (listed by the instructor, Michael Bradley) formats, offers a very useful and clear introduction to essential (foil) fencing techniques. Some of the information is wrong (points are no longer scored against the receiver, but for the toucher), and others I disagree with (his en guarde stance is more epee than foil), but most of the instruction is very good, and the quality is also good. Overall, this is the best instructional video I've seen for fencing, and I wish there were more like it. More Info About This DVD Actor(s): Michael Bradley DVD Release Date: 22 November 2005

I am not a person who generally buys DVD's for their prurient value. My large collection of DVD's boasts maybe five porno titles. But I admit I have a thing for Latin men - my boyfriend is from Ecuador - and something about the way this film was advertised made it sound highly sexual and extremely titillating. I must confess, this is the main reason I purchased it. Oops. Mild disappointment there.
The film consists primarily of interviews with male strippers in the "Zona Rosa" section of Mexico City. The most in-depth interview is with an extremely handsome and pleasant but rather ordinary (in terms of lifestyle) hunk by the name of Christian Miranda. We meet his family - his son, his niece, his dog and his extremely open-minded mother, who says she prefers that her son... Wouldn't play on my newish Sony DVD / VCR combo. Selected the desired fire, the desired soundtrack... and then it always just returned to the main menu. Made a dual-layer DVD-R copy on my computer that plays fine. Must have laid out the files a little differently on the disk. Original plays fine on my other DVD player (JVC).
There are some nice fires on this DVD. The picture quality looks good. Some of the more "blazing" fires seem to be gas-assisted and do look a little unnatural at times. I've only listened to one of the music tracks so far. Some pretty relaxing acoustic guitar picking with nice sound quality... You can listen to the real fire sounds, music, or both...
I chose this fireplace DVD over the others partially because someone said the fire sound... More Info About This DVD DVD Release Date: Released the 25 October 2005 Usually ships in 4 to 6 weeks
