Thanks to Dana Brown's delightful Step Into Liquid, the surfing scene in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, should get a healthy boost. That's because Brown, in the tradition of his father, filmmaker Bruce Brown (The Endless Summer), has captured dazzling images of surfers riding curls in some of the world's most exotic--and sometimes unlikely--places. Besides the action on Lake Michigan, Brown leads us to Costa Rica, where the sport's senior elite (including Summer star Robert August) prove they still have the moves, and Oahu's North Shore, where the legendary Pipeline inspires this quote: "It's so scary, maybe you die a little." Most entertaining is a segment in County Donegal, where the American Malloy brothers startle the locals and meet their Irish counterparts on the grayest... Learn More

I bought this DVD for the instant fireplace. It's awesome for that feature alone. The fire is realistic, it fills the whole TV screen, and it crackles like a real fireplace. I swear the room feels warmer when we have it on! And the other features are a good bonus. The beach is not my favorite, because the tree looks fakey, but the kids like it. The party scenes are good background stuff to put on when you have people over. There's a lava lamp, and flashing disco lights. I often put these things on without the sound and play our own music on our sound system. It's better than having TV with commercials on. We like the view of the clothes tumbling in the dryer for "visual white noise". If you have to get a toddler (or a daddy) to sleep, this one works a wonder! This is an exceptionally well-produced information-filled beginner course. The practice tracks (complete with looping feature) are exceptionally helpful at getting the beginner playing. Even though I've moved beyond this course, I still use the practice tracks for warming up and keeping me refreshed on the chords I learned from this DVD. I want to echo the positive comments made about Keith Wyatt. He manages to convey a sense that "you can do this." With the confdence that this DVD helped give me I've been playing for four months now and I am comfortable enough to actually play some simple rhythm guitar parts for my church band. After a month or six weeks the "Getting Started" DVD course does start to feel limiting. At 6 weeks I added the E-media Beginner Guitar course to my... I've seen lots of footage reguarding the events of Sept. 11, 2001. This video simply documents what happened on that day without the melodramatic attachments of personal stories designed to tug on your heart-strings. If you want a documentary of what happened, this is it. More Info About This DVD Director(s): Ben Cartwright DVD Release Date: Released the 01 February 2002 Usually ships in 2 to 4 weeks

This DVD was probably the stupidest thing I have ever watched. There is not a shred of science or scientific method anywhere in this production. The water crystals are pretty ;-) but everything else about this production is complete nonsense. More Info About This DVD DVD Release Date: Released the 05 May 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours
